Seriously though, it is a great question, that I have been thinking about. There have been so many negative comments in the last week or so, with people looking for proof of this or that, it makes you think about things. Why should I give this out for free? Why should I put the source out there for others to use to profit? I can go on on, but you get the idea.
On the flip side, I have gotten a great deal from this site, and I enjoy giving back to the people here. Also, I would like to see more people give Sierra a shot.
So, I will share them soon (still a couple of loose ends). What I am thinking, is putting out a license based dll (sierra makes this a breeze), which you could download from futures.io (formerly BMT), and I will enable the license for elite members in good standing. This would allow me to keep the source and make sure only elite members are using. Hopefully @BigMike is ok with this model.
futures.io (formerly BMT) was (is) built on the pay it forward concept.
It means that as you contribute something positive to the community, it will come back to you and benefit you in the end. It does not mean a 1-to-1 sharing ratio where you only contribute what you get back, or only get back what you contribute.
The more involved you are in the community, the more you help new traders, the more you talk about methods and risk management and money management, psychology, the more you discuss market types, patterns, behaviors, etc etc -- the more you learn about yourself, the more you reinforce your own beliefs or call them into question. This is the fundamental difference between futures.io (formerly BMT) and other sites. Other sites are all about "why should I", futures.io (formerly BMT) is all about "here you go, glad to help".
We don't allow DLL's to be shared openly, sorry. This is just for the simple reason of openness and freely sharing doesn't fit into the DLL model too well. For that same reason I am not going to allow any open license based issuing to members (in public). The Elite Circle part of the forum was created to share stuff with members who directly support the site, it is the best place to share something that you feel belongs there. There are countless examples of tools and indicators in The Elite Circle that are very valuable yet were still contributed to the community for free and openly. I hope you have benefited from them, and in turn, you will continue to share openly so the cycle continues.
Yes, I saw that when I started using SC. I am not using it, as it is not quite the same as my original implementation. It does have an ATR feature to change the brick size on the fly, but that is not something I needed.
