My issue issue isn't $10. It's

1) this was hidden in a thread headed "Reducing Overall Costs"
2) my post requesting clarification has since been removed (after a SC reply and then an edit of the reply to add World War III).
3) pushing the customer base into teton seems to be the goal of most moves in the recent past
4) really, read my request for information and the reply, here was version two.

And Bob, in changing the title of the thread you've really reduced the OP's intent. Censorship is sad.

Edit: My original thread is no longer deleted and World War III has been removed from the reply.

Fair points about the editing of posts by SC. I agree that this qualifies as important enough to display as a pop-up in the software itself like they already do. A lot of people, including me, never even go to the website, so I would not have known. Transparency is really important and they could have done a better job here.

Thank you for clarifying. I also believe in openness and principles which are far more important than $10.

I really didn't mean to reduce the OP's intent. Yes, he did start out with "Sierra chart -- Worst! and even very worst!", which is certainly pretty down on Sierra Chart. Here's his first post:

Sierra chart was once good but not anymore. They increased their price by a whopping 200% . Plus their customer service is some what born out of the world. They are very rude and very arrogant. They will infact delete your question in their support portal if you point any mistakes of them.

Looks like all their customer service are unprofessional and not fit for doing this job.

But I read all his posts to see if I could broaden the title so more people could understand it, and he also had this post:

SatG View Post
I am already using Trading view (288 for 13 months for premium) and NT8. TV has crystal clear candle stick charts, alert mechanisms and their mobile app are much satisfactory...

Reason for me to still use sierra chart is their TPO's which their competitors are yet to match. Again bottom line, your trading decision is not based on any platform. It is based on multiple factors. I believe we both will be in-sync on this...

I am just seeing the value addition of using sierra chart when compared to their competitors. Opinion differs and I am sharing my vent on the recent increase in cost when the features and everything is same!

So I took it to mean that he was frustrated with the SC price increase, and of course with the rest of their customer service, but "I am sharing my vent on the recent increase in cost when the features and everything is same!" is what I took as the point, to be able to make the thread title more generally comprehensible to someone seeing the title for the first time, and also to be able to merge in the other posts. Before, it was just that SC is the "worst and very worst", but doesn't say why.

If @SatG isn't happy with the changes, I'll accept a correction from him, so long as it's a little more understandable than just "worst and very worst," which doesn't say anything.

For instance, perhaps "Sierra Chart Price Increase and Poor Customer Service" or something of the sort (or "lousy customer service," or whatever.) Since it is his thread, I'll see what he thinks. Just something comprehensible, with some content. The original title was obviously made in anger and frustration, but it isn't that helpful in saying what it's about, which would help someone who wanted to know if they should read it or not. And yes, SC support can be maddening, as we all know.

And I really do not mean to be censoring anyone. I'm actually trying to help make this forum work relatively well for everyone, including people who are mad at Sierra Chart support.

I have had easier jobs.

(there is a particular feature SC won't implement that I need, so I'm considering altering some things too...)

Hi Josh, maybe you can share with us or at least with me that what particular feature SC will not implement that you need ?

Its normal human behavior. People love free stuff, cheap stuff. The like to split a penny.
And if there is price increase they go crazy.

Its seems we have similar people among traders too.

why you imply that traders are not normal humans?
I thought we are normal humans, right?

I agree with you.

But don't you feel strange? Look again

My point is, If you really thought we traders are normal humans, then you would not say "Its seems we have similar people(normal humans) among traders too."

Because the word similar let others think you think traders and normal humans are different.

However now you claim that we traders are normal humans.

That is why I feel strange.

Or are you demonstrating for me that humans are emotional and not rational? if so ~ Thank You.

@lemons, you are a long-time member here and you have added value.

But you should also be aware of the forum's policy on civil exchange and not permitting rudeness.

Your last post, where you were rude in what you said of a fellow member, has been deleted.

There is no problem if you disagree with him, but you cannot use personal remarks when you do so.

If you repost your remarks without the rudeness, your disagreement will be fine. But not with it.
