I have decided that sierra charts is the platform for me though I've only traded in demo and now need to decide for live to use CQG or Rithmic data feed. Rithmic is almost 2x expensive, is it worth the extra cost? What's the benefit?
Thanks
As retail I pay only the CME bundle fee for CQG I believe it’s not full depth except for crude. For both you pay a per contract fee for execution
Can u please elaborate how Rithmic is twice as costly? I know u have to pay an additional 20/month for Rithmic that gets subtracted from the per transaction cost
Looks like executing through Sierra with CQG feed is the cheapest ( but from personal experience I can tell u sometimes in a fast market especially with CL Sierra lagged the native QTrader platform for a few mins and ten back to normal - now that could have been my settings and may not apply in thicker markets)
From what I see the routing fee with cqg is .15 per contract and Rithmic is .25. So trying to see if Rithmic adds enough value over cqg to pay the extra. Thoughts?
Thanks
I recently switched to amp futures and saved a ton on data. They also give you a discount on Sierra charts so it's a win win. Their customer service is low quality; as far as, staff knowledge, but their availability is high. It's kinda the opposite of SC customer service .
AMP & CQG data here. I think SC kind of acknowledge that for traders (like me) who trade Asian and Eurex markets that there really is no alternative to CQG with SC as SC's promoted data solutions don't cover all those non US markets.
