Im trying to set up a quote board in sierrachart but it doesnt seem to recognise the symbols that i am typing into the symbol box, im using CQG data and have been trying various ways of typing CLEJ17 among others but nothing seems to happen.

Has your broker authorized each instrument? Seems it's necessary at least with infinity.

I've found that CQG symbols aren't necessarily what you think they should be.

What works for me on the Quote Board is to:
Click Settings -> Set Symbols -> Find, then navigate/look through the choices for the Symbol and contract I want. Select that contract and click OK. That will populate the list and the Close button will add it/them to the Quote Board.

Hope this isn't too unclear.

Hi Paul, maybe your broker already rolled to the May-contract? Crude-Oil rolled today to May, so the symbol should be CLEK17.
Try the way, LDog has posted.
