can someone tell me if this would be possible to create in sierra chart, possibly thru the excel spread sheet function?
I want to take the total volume chart and make a spreadsheet type appearance where it will show me what the volume was every half hour.
so i want it to show me the volume (as pulled from one of the TVOL charts) at 10am, 10:30, 11:00am, etc, and i want to be able to view this data for yesterday and then the current day. so i can compare today vs yesterday every half hour.
thanks, i have no idea where to begin with how to make this, if its even possible.
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
Add the Spreadsheet Study study to a 30min chart.
Each spreadsheet row is a chart bar, the current bar in row 3, and earlier bars in rows below.
The volume for each bar will be in column F.
so intra day the cells that popular scroll down as the next half hour is populated. so example A1 will show the 10:00 volume. at 10:30 that value in A1 gets moved down to A2. and A1 becomes the new 1030 value. this is a problem when im trying to create forumlas in other cells to display the 930 value minus the values from the previous day (which is down the sheet maybe A10 but also gets pushed down each half hour.
I cannot think of a way to change this so for now ill manually do the computations each half hour
You can use a formula to retain (create a persistent value) from the dynamic 09:30 row.
If you can share more details, I'll offer a possible solution.
-Is the 9:30 bar the first bar of the date (day)?
-Does the last bar from yesterday contain the values you want to compare?
