I am exploring order flow and my question is whether SC's features are a good enough substitute for Jigsaw tools?

Are there specific features within Jigsaw that are not available on SC?

I haven't used Jigsaw but do like the look of it. I've tried to setup a SC DOM as close to it as I can get (from watching video's) and just posted it here -

I think Pete has some cool features like clearing the recent bid/ask history automatically and being able to attach OCO type stops and targets, after the opening of a trade with none (again, no experience so hopefully others will chime in) PLUS the Vista tool ... I'm sure there are a lot of other things that it does that I'm not aware of.

Hopefully a real trader with give you some real answers

HTH

Each product has its own advantages so potentially you can use both. For example, we can extend Rithmic to both platforms and tie them up to the same account.

There are a few regarding the DOM itself, for me the most notable is the possibility to write notes at specific levels and the Bid/Ask Pulling and Stacking indicator (which would show you 200, if a Bid changed from 500 to 300 when it became an inside Bid) Both are very good products in my opinion.

Sierra has the pulling and stacking feature as well. And you can apply levels and indicators to your DOM. I have profile, vwap, daily weekly overnight highs and lows, initial balances etc. But its true you can't do custom notes.

I really hope that @SierraChart will get/add the ability to use the new Pulling/Stacking and Recent Trades columns in Replay.

In SC you can mark your levels on your "main chart" then on your DOM hit F5 and go to the second Advanced Tab, and in the box Copy charts from.... put the chart # you want to copy those levels from. I use horizontal lines and mark them ONH /ONL etc or Prev Day Vpoc, and if you use spaces when you label them on your main chart it will show up nicely ON your dom.

If you draw other shapes it could look funny, but just for horizontal lines its great.

Improvements to the Divergence Detector study. Refer to the updated documentation for Divergence Detector.

The Chart/Trade DOM market data columns now update in a chart during a replay. Although there is still a known issue with the market depth stacking and pulling market data columns which will be resolved in a few days.

Added an option in Global Settings >> General Trade Settings to always estimate bid and ask prices during a chart replay when using 1 tick Intraday data records.
