Dear Community,

Currently, I am a trial user with Sierra Chart. To this point, I am very satisfied with the platform. However, I am noticing a trend pattern on volume bar color vs price bar color, they are off a bit. To elaborate further they do not always match; meaning green does not match green. If the bar closes higher in some instances the volume is displayed natively in Sierra in red in some instances and vice versa. Is there a way to fix this and color match volume bars with price bars?

Please refer to the image

Note:

Looking at the chart from bar number 5 which is an up bar (green) does not relate to bar number 6 which closes lower in green (instead of red, which is supposed to) with the corresponding volume bar that displays in red.

Looking at bar numbers 17, 18 & 19 they are red down bars (completely accurate display of information) however, the level bar number 20 is displayed in green which contradicts bar numbers 26, 27 & 28 they are green up bars (completely accurate display of information). To that point, bar number 29 is displayed in green (which should be red, point to previous contradiction comment). These are just a few instances however, this is a challenge that represents itself throughout the chart quite often.

Much appreciated,

Andrew

The main graph up/down coloring is configurable under graphics settings global - other tab. It looks like it is set to color based on open/close. You can select to color based on close to close. The volume study subgraph can be set to either match the main graph or by slope (volume compared to previous bar).
