THe channel lines of a linear regression channel essentially form a trendline, I'm wondering if this might be an easier solution for you to base a trading system on (long on a hit of the lower channel line, sell on a hit of the upper line)
Just another way to skin a cat, a lin. regression channel draws the lines based on the last X number of bars. In Sierra this is called Linear Regression End Channel see pic for an idea

237 views and no workable solution.
I'm guessing no one on this entire site has the ability to code an ASCIL trendline that a user can move around and adjust on the chart.

Just a word of advice. If your working on something, explain what you can get to work and what you can't, I think you'll find a lot of people prepared to help you. There's too many people though who come here and expect others to do everything for them - those posts rarely get answers.

Did you look at post 8 on the first page or read the entire first page?
Nit picking a post entry i made 4 months ago is not contributing to a solution.
Where was you 4 months ago.

Quoting
"Finally succeeded in getting a ASCIL trend line drawn on a chart.
Unlike the Automatic Trendlines study, this trend line can actually be selected, move around and adjusted.
Now the next task is to figure out how to determined when price has crossed over or crossed under the line."

I explained what i have done and what i need to get completed.

Not sure if I can dumb it down anymore then that.

If you need it down to a pre-school level then I'm sorry I don't know how to get down to that level.

You may want to look at that again. If the Linear Regression End Channel study is ID1, the upper line is ID1.SG2 and the lower line is ID1.SG3. Start looking at column AA, if you are not familiar with spreadsheet studies.

bradhouser and Japhro.
A linear regression channel and a Linear Regression End Channel are two different things.
One is a hand drawn tool and the other is a custom ASCIL study.
Linear Regression End Channel also cannot be moved around on the chart by a user and is of no use to me..

Please stick to the original issue of detecting when current price has crossed over or crossed under an ASCIL drawn trendline.

No problem. After reading the entire thread, I understand what you are trying to do.

When you said you wanted to auto trade, I didn't realize you wanted to do that based on manually drawn lines. To me that is more like semi-autotrading.

Please stick to the original issue? people are trying to offer help, if you want to be rude, fine, up to you. If this is beyond your abilities then hire someone to do it for you, months have gone by and you are still expecting people to do it for you? Entitled much? Good luck
