I think this might work

Vertical

Notice the study only prints one arrow and clears all prior.

Horizontal

I realized the above solution would have issues with scaling since the signal is displaced from the last bar on the chart. If that's an issue then a detached blank chart window with everything minimized and with the always on top option checked becomes a good solution.

The line was added to give the color bars a position to be based on.

I was surprised how much clutter could be cut from an open window

Yep, trying to clear up clutter have a clean looking chart and still have all the information i need displayed.
Could you upload a chartbook containing that chart?

If you have trouble while adding to this or modding it. Let me know and I'll help if I can.

The chart book didn't have any studies attached to it.

I change the symbol to NQM6 because i don't have CL data.

The stripped down chart was just a copy of the large chart with everything stripped and hidden. Did you change the symbol for the stripped chart as well? If so, I'll look into it when I get home later tonight.

The other thing to try is right click on the small chart and use the chart shortcuts menu to check the studies running. You can also change the chart settings this way. I think if a chart is detached it can't be adjusted through the regular toolbar.

Let me know if it works.

No menu pops up when right clicking on the smaller chart.
The toolbar provides no options(all grayed out) when the smaller chart has the focus.

It is possible to add the toolbar to a detached chart to show the same buttons and options as the main application.

Are you able to pull up chart shortcuts by right clicking the main chart?

In Global Settings you can customize chart shortcuts. Show menu needs to be added when using an Always on Top chart. If you accidentally maximize the window, the show menu can allow you to go through Chart and use Show Taskbar to quickly minimize it.

Yes, right clicking on the main chart brings up the shortcuts menu.
I`m using Sierra version 1379.

Try expanding the smaller window by dragging the border and make sure you are right clicking in an clear space.
