Sierra Chart DOM goes blank, must restart

This has happened to me a few times recently. I've made zero changes to my DOM in months, and haven't upgraded Sierra anytime recently. But I have added other charts to my system. Resource levels are fine, I have about 20-24GB free of memory at any given time.

The issue is that suddenly out of no where (no action on my part) the DOM will just go blank, and the only solution is to restart Sierra.

Need help?
1) Stop changing things. No new indicators, charts, or methods. Be consistent with what is in front of you first.
2) Start a journal and post to it daily with the trades you made to show your strengths and weaknesses.
3) Set goals for yourself to reach daily. Make them about how you trade, not how much money you make.
4) Accept responsibility for your actions. Stop looking elsewhere to explain away poor performance.
5) Where to start as a trader? Watch this webinar and read this thread for hundreds of questions and answers.

When you restart, are you saving the Chartbook?

When this occurs, what happens when you select Chart >>Duplicate Chart on the Trade DOM. Does the duplicated one appear properly?

Does this Trade DOM have a Trade Window attached to it?

What happens when you right-click on where the column of numbers normally appears, do you see the menu? And if you select Auto Scale the Chart DOM, do you then have a proper display?

1. I do not have auto save on exit enabled. So no, I do not save on restart.

2. I will try duplicating it next time and let you know.

3. I am not sure what a trade window is, but I think the answer is no. This is what the DOM looks like:

4. I will try that in the future and let you know.

Thanks for the quick reply!

Right clicking in the DOM does absolutely nothing, no menu of any kind.

Chart -> Duplicate did work.

@SierraChart see above, plus when it happened again today I saw this in the log

Encountered an out-of-memory condition when calling a study function. | 2015-08-06 14:33:17 *

It should be noted I have 21GB free of system memory right now. Is there a 2GB limit in SC (32-bit app)?

Pretty convinced now that is the problem (2GB cap, 32-bit program)

No clue why it seems to only effect my DOM, which I didn't change. But what I have changed recently is about 20 new charts for some intermarket analysis. I'll make some adjustments to their lookback period to try and reduce memory.

@SierraChart, any plans for a 64-bit version?

Longer-term there will be support for a 64-bit version but we are not sure when. Sierra Chart should have access to 3 GB of memory at this time.

So do you think the problem was due to hitting this limit (I assume yes)?

I just checked task manager again, now Sierra is using only 300MB of memory with the same workspace and has been running overnight (in other words, not freshly restarted). Not sure why it was using so much yesterday, or apparently all the previous times it kept crashing the DOM with an out of memory exception.
