My Chart Trade Window has Vanished.....I cannot open it, or cannot find it once I click Trade then Open Trade Window for Chart....I did not change any settings, but I did turn Monitors from Portrait to Landscape.....then I have this problem.....never happened before.....WTF........help please.
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
The trade window may be opening in area of the screen that is not visible since you have changed orientation of your monitors. Please try doing the following: Go to Trade>Attach Trade Window to Chart, and then repeat this step to un-attach the trade window from the chart. This may then bring it into visibility. Please let us know if this does not do the trick
Matt

hi mattz....I originally had the Trade Window floating, and now it is no where on my monitors when I try and open it, but your method does place it beside the Chart where I can use it to Trade.
I will shut computer down and try reloading everything and see if I can get the Trade Window to come back as a Floating Window, as I Originally liked to have it....but if not I will Attach it to the Chart from now on....Thanks for your response, and I will update later on to let you know if I could get the Trade Window back up as Floating/Movable.
Well I tried Restarting computer and Sierra Chart to see if I could get the Trade Window to Open in Floating mode as I call it.
There is No Problem with Attaching it to the Chart....which is right beside the Chart Window.
I guess this may be better as it will not go missing...
I will continue to see if I could get the Trade Window to Open as a Floating Window over the next days....but I am happy with it Attached to Chart.
Thanks again mattz for responding.
Thanks.....I have tried this also....the funny thing is on my 6A Chart, and GC Chart I can Open the Trade Window that Floats....but Not CL, or NQ........but the 6A, and GC charts were minimized when I rotated the Monitors, but CL, and NQ
were all up on my 2 monitors.......this is weird...I may try and Close out the CL, and NQ Charts and create New ones.
Also another weird thing is when I place a Trade now on CL with Only 1 Contract...I get 2 Flags for Entry, and 2 Flags for Exits.....should be 1 Flag for each.
ok...I closed out my NQ Chart, and CL Chart that had the issue of Not allowing me to Open the Trade Window that will Float.....and Duplicated 2 new Charts from another symbol I Trade......then changed each New Chart to the symbol I wanted which is CL, and NQ ....now I am able to Open the Trade Window that will Float/Movable.
Something happened when I turned the Monitors from Portrait mode to Landscape mode and applied that in windows 7.
I am not sure what actually happened that caused this to loose my Trade window, but just do not try this while in a Trade.......otherwise you will be scrambling to the phone......I am new to Sierra Chart, but have managed to screw it up already.
Sierra Chart is Extremely Fast on Fills.....I mean Instant on Live Fills....Never had an issue with Reliability.
No other issues I have found with this software, so I am very happy with Sierra for Executing Orders.
Yes, I've noticed new trade windows sometimes lock into the main interface window. Problem if you multiple other windows like internet, etc, on top. Utilize the show desktop icon in your task bar area then just try opening the trade window by itself viewing one minimized window at a time.
