Using Sierra Chart, is there an easy way to get the function of the "Flatten" button to apply to whatever percentage of position size you want, on the fly?

How could you use this to flatten a specific quantity rather than the whole position like the OP asked?

^Anyone know? I don't see a Flatten Quantity or % button in the Trading Keyboard shortcuts?

@GaryD, did you figure out a way to do this, or suggest it to SC? I've been wanting the same, it's a great idea.

The closest thing I've found that I think would achieve this, is to enable Scale Out, uncheck Attached Orders, and select the Quantity you want, then hit BUY or SELL MKT to close the portion you want manually.

That works, and in Sierra you could keep more than one Trade Window open.

Thanks for the thought. I am still trying to find a supdem indicator too, in case you come across one.

Actually, I've started using this, and you don't even have to deselect Use Attached Orders, if you have Scale Out enabled, it ignores the Attached Orders automatically. This works pretty well, you just have to select the quantity and the order execution button.

Anthony the developer and his team are one of the most open minded guys towards trading needs.
They implemented server side OCO and the navigation system we have in a short time.
Like I said in one our presentations, I trust his judgement as far as what he chooses to implement.

Matt

I did not know about not having to uncheck the attached orders. But, having made a few entries without, I can add in with attached, adjust the order quantity in the brackets, and those will then do whatever the original bracket (second entry in this example) was instructed to do.

I figured out that by modifying the order quantity buttons you can set variations of exits too, to fit whatever percentage I want.

Also, for any order automation, I save the setup as an "analysis" and can switch from one to another as the trade progresses. Change timeframes, switch exit strategies, etc. All in real time. For some reason I was expecting it to be more difficult.

Could you give examples of these to help demonstrate what you're doing/how?
