The only other thing I can think of that would make this perfect is if it had a function to restart the calculation (start a brand new zig zag) on a new day. Many of us use RTH only for some charts, so the zig zag will go from yesterday's zig to today's opening zag, which is, of course, not a data point that we're interested in.

It MIGHT be better to simply make an adjustment to the actual zigzag indi, rather than the one you created, as it does it's job perfectly. I don't know if that's too difficult to do, as I'm CLUELESS as to programming stuff, but clearly you're not!

hi

Yes, this would be good. But looking at the code I guess the loop should be redesigned in order to add a fresh start. It's the impossible mission for me right now

I'll be able /I hope so/ to add this histogram again in case the study will be improved by SC Team or by other professionals.

Is there any update to the indicator on this latest b6 2 that you posted last? Thanks again for your time on this.

hi

There is tiny improvement about hiding labels on histogram.

Just in order to polish this point and it has not touched for other parts of functionality.

Hi,
This is a neat study, thank you for your contribution. I just have one quick question - in the settings window I have the option to display ZigZag volume (yes/no) and a pull down menu to display histogram in various ways. If I set to display histogram as volume then I get different labels depending if I have display zigzag volume as yes or no. It looks to me the right way is to have the latter set to no, but I'm curious as to what it does when I have it set to yes.

Best regards,
Marcin

hi

the Accumulated Volume for ZZ study has an issue w v959 and earlier - pls look at the notes for v960

my study has the patch for this issue

as this is the patch - it's not universal one

so you need to set "Display ZigZag Volume" to "No" in order to use the Histogram

Does anyone perhaps have an updated version of the indicator discussed in this thread, or alternatively the zig zag indicator found here:

I can't seem to get either of them to work in newer versions of Sierra.

Many thanks.

There is a Zig Zag indicator: Technical Studies Reference - Sierra Chart

However it seems to only be possible to plot on the chart itself in the form of a line that overlays price. It doesn't seem to be possible to plot in a separate panel as a histogram.

Unless there is another indicator that does this that im not aware of...

Edit: well you can put it in a separate panel, but it does not create a histogram that plots positive swings above zero and negative swings below zero.
