. Apparently SC was informed they would incur large fees since a supposed majority do not trade from Sierra, and SC is unable to verify this. Maybe they pulled it because of a misunderstanding.

Nothing has been imposed as far as additional fees.
If I have updates, I will inform you guys.

Matt

Yes, they deleted the thread, for some reason.

It was asking Rithmic/Zenfire users to post whether they placed trades from Sierra Chart or from their broker's DOM.

Apparently SC was informed they would incur large fees since a supposed majority do not trade from Sierra, and SC is unable to verify this. Maybe they pulled it because of a misunderstanding.

Agree, my understanding of what was there was that Rithmic said too many Sierra users aren't executing via Sierra, so Rithmic wants to start charging more licensing fees to Sierra.

Hi,

I am trying out a sierra chart demo / tt feed. When i compare the cumulative delta bid/ask with gomi's gomcd on ninjatrader / zenfire there are very big differences all the time. Maybe it is because of the different data feeds. Has anyone compared the two in the past ?

Thanks

This topic has been discussed a lot and I think you can find a lot of information about it here and elsewhere. Reliable tick data for bid/ask tools require a reliable data feed and most brokers' data feeds cannot deliver that so you will end up with large differences between them.

I use DTN/IQFeed with Sierra Chart and I would also use DTN/IQFeed with other packages like Market Delta etc.

Hope this helps.

Prettig weekend

The TT data feed is fast and reliable for trade execution but wholly inadequate for bid/ask studies.

Try using the Cumulative Delta Bars- Up/Down Tick Volume study with the TT feed. It will be much closer to the zenfire feed's bid/ask.

I'm thinking of giving it a try for the Delta studies, but I haven't seen a reference to a Delta Momentum study.

Do they have such an indicator built in, and if not is it possible to create one using the bar delta they do have?

Second, I trialed SC a few months back, but found it very hard to figure out setting up charts and sessions etc. Are there templates available for things like volume profile with separate profiles for ETH and RTH sessions?

Thanks.

I do not see anything like this built into SC. This page is the reference btw:

Sierra Chart - Technical Studies Reference

Can you describe concisely how the delta momentum study should work, and how it is calculated? In other words, what does it tell you? It is very possible that another built-in study can compose delta momentum based on existing studies.

Thanks for the response Josh. It's a fairly standard study - there's a gomi version, and FT71 uses it in IRT, as do the folks at l2stk. It just sums the bar delta as long as it is all in the same direction and draws a histogram above or below zero. It's the only form of the bar delta indicator I've found consistently useful.
