I have color bar based upon alert condition study set to output 1 for true and 0 for false, but in the spreadsheet for trading the output is always 0, regardless. Accordingly, I am having to needlessly replicate formulas in the spreadsheet trading study that are already defined in the color bar study. I've searched for the answer without success.

If the Spreadsheet Master, aka @tomgilb, or anyone else could provide help then I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

Unfortunately that study only outputs historically to the spreadsheet when using Replay or live data. It will only show a value on the spreadsheet for the current bar when not using Replay or live data. With the source code for this study, you could probably fix this.

Since you are already using the spreadsheet study, you can use it to mark the bars instead of using the Color Bar Based on Alert Condition study, assuming they are both set to the same chart region.

If they are not using the same chart region, you could use another spreadsheet study instead of the color bar study, and those values would then appear on the original spreadsheet.

Thanks Tom,

I was afraid of that. Spreadsheet getting voluminous, so trying to reduce amount of formulas in the sheet. I have asked previously for the source code to link the alert box to a study but they wouldn't provide it and I looked at the most recent source code files for this study and it's still not there. I will just have to do it the hard way and code it every time. You Da Man!
