Webinar: Sierra Chart and CTS Futures, Automated Trading Systems and Backtesting
It is my pleasure to announce that on Thursday, December 13th(now rescheduled to Monday, January 7th) @ 4:30 PM Eastern US, Brian from CTS Futures and Anthony from Sierra Chart will be presenting a webinar on futures.io (formerly BMT).
The topics include:
- Benefits of trading with CTS Futures
- Overview of using Sierra Chart with CTS T4, including data quality, server-side OCO's, historical backfill and more
- Demonstration of building an automated trading system with Sierra Chart
- Overview of Backtesting and Trade Reporting in Sierra Chart
When you are not using Sierra Chart yet, I strongly advice attending this webinar.
I have been using NinjaTrader quite a while and a few weeks ago tried Sierra just to see what it had to offer. And then I fell in love!
Why?
1. Much better support of volume based indicators
2. Better handling of multiple data feeds. E.g. I use IB and IQFeed. I don't subscribe to Russel indices with IQ because I rarely trade them, the IB feed suffices. With Ninja I was not able to have IQ as my primary feed and have Russel from IB. With Sierra I am.
3. The spreadsheet functionality. Want to know the average price movement on Wednesdays during the Months of November till April? Open a spreadsheet study and in 10 minutes max you have the answer.
4. Backtesting facilities. You don't have to download replay data on a per day basis. You can jump back and forth during testing. With Ninja you can't.
5. and I can go on and on and on......
Very sorry, but the audio problems for this webinar were just too big. The problem was out of our control. Sierra has done webinars in the past with no problem, the issue is either with GoToWebinar or Anthony's ISP, both of which were out of our control.
So I had to cut short the webinar, and I will nuke the recording.
The last 20 minutes we did open up the floor to Q&A via audio only, no video, so hopefully people that attended got some of their questions answered.
I will reschedule the event and notify everyone when it is done.
