Today I downloaded Sierra charts to look what it is all about and play around with it.
I connected it to my IB data feed and loaded the CL 01-13 chart, which (seemed) to worked fine. The I started to mess around with the continuous data for CL and switched it off again.
At that point when I load CL 01-13 into Sierra, I only get data up until July 2012 which makes no sense for CL 01-13
When I right click in the chart I see the date to which it will load, but I cannot change this date.
When I switch on continuous contract it loads till 5/10. But there are some gaps where there is no data for a couple of weeks.
How can I get my data right again?
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
In you sierra chart data director (in a standard installation it is c:\sierrachart\data), delete the datafiles for the cl contracts - they are the files ending with .scid and depending on the naming of the symbol from you provider they could CLxx.scid or CLxx-nymex.scid, in short first two letters CL and ending .scid
