Agree with Japhro @SierraChart about the background on the last size / cumulative size and it annoys me that the DOM doesn't have this feature.

I replied to a post on your support board today and I agree with what has been requested on this page by Japhro
as it the same request I have posted on the support board although not made public yet.
If you can implement the background colour for the last size and cumulative size then then I can't see why your DOM would have any fault. This feature IS needed and it has been 3-4 months since you said you would look into this. As mentioned it should be an easy fix. It would really help with seeing when the bid gets hit and the offer gets lifted for those who are a fan of the most basic DOM setups

Color settings to control the background color of the Last Size or Cumulative Last Size on the market data columns on the trading ladder, based upon whether the trade was at the bid or ask, will be in the next release of Sierra Chart.

6 months.

2) What are your favorite features of Sierra Chart?
3) What are some must-have deal breaker features in Sierra Chart that you could not do without?

Automated trading and custom indicators. I'm very impressed by how powerful this platform is. In addition to the high customizability, Sierra Chart also loads fast and doesn't consume too much resources.

Both.

5) Are you a discretionary trader or an algorithmic trader? How does Sierra Chart help you with this?

Algorithmic trader. See above.

6) How easy/hard was it for you to learn to use Sierra Chart?

It is easy to follow the official documentation. But less technically inclined people might have to face a steep learning curve.

7) How do you rate Sierra Chart's customer service/support, assuming you have needed to use it?

Never had the chance to rate them in this aspect yet.

8) Do you believe Sierra Chart is competitively priced?

I'm extremely satisfied with the pricing.

9) How do you rate the community support that exists for Sierra Chart?

They have a pretty active support board.

As a broker and a CTA I find sierra charts to be the best value for your $$ in many aspects.

We like to offer sierra with either transact, CQG data or if you planing on using their API, with their DTC server.

I will be happy to answer any questions or share feedback via PM or simply visit our website ( https://www.cannontrading.com )

3) What are some must-have deal breaker features in Sierra Chart that you could not do without? OCO's, MP/VP, custom indicators, spreadsheet functionality.
4) Do you use Sierra Chart in simulation mode only, or do you place live trades with it? Both sim and live.

1) How long have you been using Sierra Chart?
I started using Sierra Charts in the last century just about when is become available and than stopped.
Like many other software package SC could not plot model projection into the future 'to the right of the last bar' and this was important for me. Now it does.

2) What are your favorite features of Sierra Chart?
It is fast. After compilation, c++ provides best code protection.

3) What are some must-have deal breaker features in Sierra Chart that you could not do without?
I have all it need

8) Do you believe Sierra Chart is competitively priced?
Extremely and with some brokers you can get it for free.

9) How do you rate the community support that exists for Sierra Chart?
No much of community is out there.

Hope that helps

1) How long have you been using Sierra Chart?
Been using it for about 3 years now

2) What are your favorite features of Sierra Chart?
I like the speed of which I am able to draw on my charts. I also like being able to use a lot of presets for different colors. borders, styles, etc for my drawings. Then I can use a hotkey to get to these presets very fast making drawing on my charts much faster than other platforms I have used. I also like the monthly cost.

3) What are some must-have deal breaker features in Sierra Chart that you could not do without?
The presets and speed at which I am able to draw, as mentioned in question 2.

4) Do you use Sierra Chart in simulation mode only, or do you place live trades with it?
I place live trades through Sierra. No issues. at times I even get positive slippage.

5) Are you a discretionary trader or an algorithmic trader? How does Sierra Chart help you with this?
Discretionary but moving toward build my algorithms.

6) How easy/hard was it for you to learn to use Sierra Chart?
I found the navigation of Sierra relatively painless when I first started. I liked its ease of use right away. I do find the programming quite difficult to deal with at times. Switching between using subgraphs vs Usetool took quite a while to distinguish the differences. Just knowing which I had to use was difficult to discern at first.

7) How do you rate Sierra Chart's customer service/support, assuming you have needed to use it?
I have had occasion to call upon support for the programming. I don't feel they took the time to completely understand my questions at times... but then again, they are not there to write the program for me either.

8) Do you believe Sierra Chart is competitively priced?
I think Sierra is very competitively priced. The best priced that I have seen out there and I have used several.

9) How do you rate the community support that exists for Sierra Chart?
I really do not use the community support much. I do not trade like most traders and do not use any indicators at all. My trading style is 100% unique and fairly complex. There is nothing that compares to it so unless I have a programming issue, I rarely refer to community support for solutions.

It's easy for basic features but I need more work and search for advanced features.

they are doing a great job, I found everything I need.
