@LaissezFaire, have you tried the "Period OHLC - Variable Period" study?

At this point, he was looking more at NT than SierraChart for this type of indicator.

Bob.

The guy sending that PM was me!

I'm aware of both those indicators. Sadly, neither accomplish quite what I'm interested in.

For 'tomorrow', I wouldn't mind the prior day Close plotted 'tomorrow', but the rest, I don't care for.

CurrentDayOHL is almost there, but it lacks the Close. Also, it's not able to plot a complete horizontal line for each day's high/low, but plots a 'rolling/developing' line throughout the day.

I currently have this one in NT7 which a trader buddy of mine gave me:

This one is a little sophisticated in that it also have a different color based on whether the day high/low came first on the day. That's not a requirement, although it would be nice. Also, this one plots the hourly ranges throughout the day also.

The last time I spoke to this guy, he hadn't upgraded to NT8...

Good that you posted an image; it was hard to visualize without it.

Others who use level-marking indicators more than I do may be able to weigh in here. I don't know of something that gives the hourly ranges like this, although I think the straight lines across for the current day OHL are fairly common.

There is a thread for asking programmers to convert your NT7 indicators to NT8, and usually you can get someone to make the change for you. These indicator changes are generally fairly simple. But it's another case of needing to be Elite. Here's where to find it, assuming you decide to go Elite:

Hi,

Is that one available in Ninja? I'm at work now, but can't seem to recall it.

Nope, I'm an idiot LOL... I saw you mentioned NT7 in that post and thought you were looking for something equivalent in SC (forgetting completely that you had mentioned you were going to go the NT8 route for the time being.) Sorry for the confusion.

No worries, Rrrracer. I figured your were perhaps referring to SC.

Yes, I'm with NT8 for the time being. Going to spend the day trying to set things up here.

I actually did download Sierra a few days back. Why? Frustration with having to 'beg' or pay other people to have basic indicators coded in NT8 and poor development on NT's end (basic indicators requested way back that's never implemented).

I also wanted to test the Sierra Zig Zag which seems to have the functionality of a daily reset. I wasn't able to get that to work though.

Regardless, I was a bit overwhelmed by the new user interface, all the various options and what some other user calls an 80s look.

So, for ease of use, familiarity and pretty charts, I'm with NT as I've always been.
