Interested In Opinions of Sierra Chart Users Who Switched From Multicharts
If you have previously used Multicharts, or are presently using both SC and MC, I would be interested in your observations, thoughts, and experiences, pro and con, regarding the two platforms. (Please indicate MC release used.)

In as much as you use both MC and SC, I expect there are aspects of each platform that you prefer over the other. As well, there may be features one of the platforms provides that the other does not. These types of observations from an experienced user of each platform would be very helpful.
I had a brief demo with SC and I thought it was a nice platform.
I'm trying to become familiar with MC DT, and, again, in many respects it is a very nice program.
I haven't traded live (or even in a paper account) with either. I haven't logged the hours (days/weeks/months) that would enable me to really get a 'feel' for which platform I might ultimately prefer. Comments from traders who have spent considerable time with each will be helpful as I seek to better focus my evaluation of the two platforms.
I've tried most of the platform available. I really like Sierra because it is lightweight, very customizable, there are a lot of studies (indicators) including footprint charts and delta in case that is what you are looking for and it has an excellent support. Sierra works with many brokers and almost all data feeds (except for eSignal) and by saying it works I really mean it does so effectively. It also has great DOM , very good chart trader and its worksheet "Excel like" capability, where you can program many things by yourself. You can run as many Sierra instances (copies) on two computers as well. Last but not least it is being updated regularly and it is usually bug free.
So that deciding between Sierra and Multicharts for Forex or futures trader I'd go with Sierra in a heartbeat.
However I see you are trading stocks mostly. In such a case the result would not be so easy as Multicharts has a very good scanner and portfolio backtesting capabilities.
I think your decision should be based on many factors such as products you trade, broker, data feed, what you expect from the platform, etc. Obviously the best is to get trials and see for yourself.
