I am new to sierra charts and am still learning it. I am trying to add a custom study that I got from nexusfi.com (formerly BMT) into my charts. I go through the steps to add it:
1: go to analysis
2:build custom studies DLL; select file
3: it pulls up the ACS_Source folder
Thats where the problems start, the custom indicator is not in the folder.
Now if I go to computer ; C drive ; sierra chart ; ACS_Source ; The cpp file is there!
Why is it not showing up in the folder when I go through the steps to add it??? Others have got the code and use it fine? Why can I not figure it out?
Please help, Thanks in advance.
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
Thanks a million, I didnt even notice that. I got it to recognize the study. Now I am getting a error DONOTDRAW in this scope? I thought maybe that meant no drawing tools on this page with this study? But when I go to studies; add custom study, its not in the list? any ideas? thanks!
Best guess is you are using an old version of Sierra Chart.
But it is best to get a response from the author of the script, in the correct thread, which you already posted in. You should post this error message there along with the version of SC you are running.
I understand from that thread ( that you solved your directory issue.
With respect to the DRAWSTYLE_DONOTDRAW issue...
It appears that, from release 1025 dated September 14th, 2013, DRAWSTYLE_DONOTDRAW was renamed to DRAWSTYLE_HIDDEN.
