Horst,

Great work! It truly shows how a master sticks with it and succeeds. I would have probably bailed at that point and that is "THE" difference.

Hi Horst,

Thanks for putting your trading journal on here, maybe we can get a few more to join our great group. Great job on the CL yesterday, having the right mental framework sure makes all the difference in the world trading the markets.

Gil, Arpeggi, Eric, Steve,

Thanks for all the support guys. It's great to know there is a positive influence from my vids.

Gil, you are absolutely correct, without the mind over matter that is ......oh so critical....I would have bailed also.

Traded the CL and 6E again today. About 1/2 way through my CL trade, the DOM hit my boundary and took out only 6 of the 10, but deleted my boundary for the remaining 4, so I was running naked on 4 contracts without a stop. Not a problem if I was aware of it, but I wasn't at the time. All turned out well, but it just didn't feel right today. Probably my sub-conscience rebelling about working on a Friday........

Horst,

I know you probably know this, but if the orders (stop) had been sitting w/ the broker (which it should have been) then they are responsible for honoring it and not deleting it. Since you record it, then it is evident etc. also and I have gotten a few hundred bucks back from the broker when this happens.

Oh, and contract switchover date is always an interesting day to trade!

Horst,

Thanks for sharing your 'off' day. Whereas it would be my 'on' day.

The market was a bit choppy on the entry but you showed how easily you can recover from a poor group of entries. Good work. Really, you are a great trader and again an inspiration to many for sharing publicly both the good and bad days.

No harm no foul. It just confused me because that seldom happens on the DOM. I saw it in time for damage control. Had I walked away for a few min, and it had gone against me, that would have been a different story.

Hey Horst,

I think most of the "it just didn't feel right" was due to Retail Sales News and CL pit open........all of your losses occured in close proximity to these times......
