I sold by copy of Skyrim on Glyde a couple weeks ago. Haven't played it since I beat it around Christmas, and I was just hugely disappointed by the story.
Witcher 2 is far superior in terms of storytelling. Highly recommended. I have the x360 version, but sadly haven't turned on my xbox in a couple months now due to other priorities.
I've finally finished the main quests. I went with the Stormcloaks and it was a hard decision. The finale was ok, but not nearly as good as Oblivion or Morrowind's. Although the dragonfights are superbly effective and memorable and awe invoking until it unfortunately becomes redundant from repetition. At least Lynda Carter voiced a Nordish female warrior this time instead of just an orc. I was pleasantly surprised to find Christopher Plummer and Max Von Sydow were also involved npc's. But yes, the main storylines could have been done better. Still, overall great game and beautiful to look at. Music by Jeremy Soule outstanding as always as classically themed.
SPOILER ALERT:
HISHE ("How It Should Have Ended"'s take on Skyrim ending: SPOILER ALERT: if you haven't finished Skyrim main story; also some Companion faction quests and Greybeard quests are spoiled.)
Significant Skyrim DLC coming soon. Seems to include updated aspects of Morrowind and the island Solstheim. As well as travelling ships and dragonriding!
Some comments on dragonriding:
"Fans: "We want to ride dragons Bethesda!"
Bethesda: "No problem let's just make a really boring pre-scripted dragon ride that doesn't allow the player to actually do anything."
"Riding dragons was always impossible, same with flying. It would force Bethesda to make the cities open and that is too much work for a console."
"there already is an Open Cities mod for Skyrim, yes. It probably pushes the game beyond what consoles can handle (because, you know, the current console generation is ancient and just lacks memory)"
I'm more looking to see the added daedric realm in Oblivion, and the Soltsheim addon area. (an island mix of Morrowind and Skyrim originally featured in an addon for Morrowind, Elder Scrolls III)
