Starter post of a trading journal dedicated on scalping the BUND using price action only.

If you want to know more on my experience have a look here fle's trading journal - The [AUTOLINK]Price Action[/AUTOLINK] Forum - PriceAction.net
and here The [AUTOLINK]Price Action[/AUTOLINK] Forum - PriceAction.net - View Single Post - fle's trading journal

I trade also NQ in the same manner, but won't post here, to keep things clean.

gap close at open, played the gap close. I could have entered a bit earlier, after the 3BR at 120.27
exit was late, well after UTL break
a loss on the mini DB, and a loss again when I tried to reversen (mkt made a lower high and DB was taken). It was in fact just a correction
After lunch I tentered again (triangle broken w/ the trend), but exited after the tiny triple top and red bar.

I did not find the PA very clear, probably the best would have been to trade less, and take a step back to look at the swing from more distance. I did not see the flag retracement, because I was busy trying to read the noise.

Daily Result
4 trades 1 winner
-170€

Hi max,
The setups are realy nothing new. Its just looking at PA : higher / lower highs and lows, DT and DB , pivots being taken or not, on a fast chart (1000CV which would be more or less like 1mn)

The details are at The [AUTOLINK]Price Action[/AUTOLINK] Forum - PriceAction.net - Powered by vBulletin, and all this comes from Forums - AHG - Profitable Strategy for Struggling Traders

In my journal I just describe my trades, read it only if you want to see what I did, on NQ and BUND from December 2008.

regarding my workspace, here is a copy. I work with 2 screens, one that you see, the other one for messaging...

Fair trading today, I'm happy.
I had problem with the downtrend, but cought the uptrend nicely. Also, I paid attention to not being too impatient, and so avoided some stop-outs;

The chart is a bit full of comments, I hope it is still readable.

No trading today, as I could not find entries.
I stopped watching at lunch time, but it seems the afternoon was much much better than the morning !! too bad
I shall reconsider this "no trading on FOMC", may I got it wrong.

Big up gap, but market seemed weak, with a first DT and the a bigger DT

If I got the big picture correctly,

Unfortunately my timing has always been wrong today, the market retracing so much that my stop were taken.

Daily Result
3 losses, -240$

PS: the day ended in a massive dragon, with massive profit for those who played it

thanks for the reports!
yes BUND is really not easy during european-sessions at the moment -- and runs like hell after US-action starts.
"normaly" its the other way around.

Hey fle,

I also trade the FGBL. One of my strategy is similar the way you trade. But I made the experience that my trading increase when I switch from a volume chart to a 4 range chart. The patterns are much more clearer for me and with an indicator that shows me the HH,HL,LL,LH,DT,DB I have a good feeling for the price action. The 3 bar reversal (magenta and cyan bars) with a double top/bottom or any other pattern is often a good entry.

Keep us posting.
