If PRICE makes a new DAILY LOW:

I know from statistics that if I go long within 20 pips of the low, that there's another 20+ pips profit.

I know from statistics, that if the previous candle is green and I go long at the previous candle's high, then I should win 2 out of 3 times.

Yes, you can use DRAIN THE BANKS - RAT TRADER on different chart periods and pairs.

You do NOT need the indicators. I use them to track multiple pairs.

What is the fascination some traders have with SQUIGGLY LINE indicators?

I see people spending a lot of time on them.

DON'T YOU REALIZE THEY ARE A MYTH?

SEE PRICE.

SEE PRICE MOVE.

SEE PRICE MOVE UP.

SEE PRICE MOVE DOWN.

THOSE ARE THE ONLY WAYS THAT PRICE MOVES.

SEE TIME.

WHAT TIME IS IT?

WHAT'S THE PRICE?

WHAT TIME IS IT NOW?

WHAT'S THE PRICE?

DID PRICE GO UP OR DOWN?

IT IS ALL RELATIVE!!

WHAT DO YOU THINK A SQUIGGLY LINE INDICATOR IS GOING TO TELL YOU THAT YOUR EYES CAN'T TELL YOU?

DO YOU BELIEVE THERE IS SOME MAGIC FORMULA THAT WILL ENABLE YOU TO SEE THE FUTURE?

WHAT IS THE HIGH OF THE DAY?

IS PRICE NEAR THAT HIGH?

IS PRICE GETTING CLOSER TO THAT HIGH?

IS PRICE AT THE HIGH OF THE DAY?

IS PRICE MAKING A NEW HIGH?

IS PRICE MOVING AWAY FROM THE NEW HIGH OF THE DAY?

WHAT IS THE LOW OF THE DAY?

IS PRICE NEAR THAT LOW ?

IS PRICE GETTING CLOSER TO THAT LOW ?

IS PRICE AT THE LOW OF THE DAY?

IS PRICE MAKING A NEW LOW ?

IS PRICE MOVING AWAY FROM THE NEW LOW OF THE DAY?

TRADING IS SIMPLE.

DO NOT COMPLICATE IT.

TRO,

I really like your approach, makes a lot of sense to me. But sometimes SQUIGGLY lines come in handy too. Made 10 points today trading ES. About 100 pips in Forex

That looks like jjrvat's method.

What does a SQUIGGLY LINE tell you that your eyes can't?

Which way price is moving? NO!

Trend? No such thing.

The SQUIGGLY LINE moves AND price moves. I prefer to have a stationary target.

What is funny is that, it really does not matter... I can trade with any SQUIGGLY LINE indicator because I know:

THE REASON I ENTER THE TRADE HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH WHAT HAPPENS NEXT.

If the SQUIGGLY tells me to enter, I enter. On goes the stop loss and I wait and see what happens. THAT IS ALL YOU CAN DO.

One more for you TRO.

Does it matter if the last candle was a dojo?

Thank you for all your help. This is starting to click. I am getting hungry for cheese.

TRO,

A few questions:

1) Where are you getting the 20 pip number?
2) Does this work on any instrument? If solely based on price action, why not?

3) Comment and question: High/low is relative, what size chart you looking at? And, high/low of what? The day? Whose day? Does this method not work on stocks for example? With ES or CL, is the high of the cash open or overnight high, etc?

Gary
