Very clear trending day. Although the market seems undecided whether it will move up or down from this current range.

Very good first trade, but probably exited a little quick. Then my short was reasonable as well but got chewed up a little bit.

I did better with holding my stops and not even looking at the 144 and just focusing on longer term charts.

Great job today!!!
Stop killing yourself for taking smaller profits. I don't remember his name but one of the famous traders who made over $100M in trading said that he still didn't find perfect exit strategy that would give him a max profit every time. You made money you called nice pivots. What else do you need? Just keep it this way stay green then you can try to get more profit by staying longer or by taking more trades. You can't get the whole run every time. It's the same like taking loosing trades. Like you always say "It's ok to be wrong" and take smaller profit.

You are right. It is better to be green than right.

I had a pretty good week overall with my best week in about a month. SHOULD not have been trading Monday with so little sleep and everyone sick. Lesson learned.

You were smart for staying away from Market when hungover.

One friend of mine in US army. He got back from South Korea for 20 days after a year. I thought that was a good reason to have some fun. I didn't feel like I was really drunk last night, but morning was really rough. I guess I'm getting old. Haha...

Yes, one beer will almost do it for me these days.. Too many years as an binge drinker I guess.

It is good to go out and tie one on every once in a while though. I miss having beers with friends, or really just friends. haha... Kids definitely change your life.

I know a trader that uses a different method to arrive at similar trades as you do.....he always exits at the 38% reverse fib....its a conservative exit for him and he would rather take his profit there than wait for some kind of runner/breakout. Just a thought.

I created it on google docs. If you have an email address from google you can plop it up online. I can create one for you in excel as well if you want, but I don't know how to use the excel 'graphing' but my wife does...

If you have an online google docs account, then I can just paste mine right into yours. It is really simple and intuitive really, nothing complex. Just comparing yesterdays equity to 3 day ago equity and if it is higher than I am live and it counts.

I think a 3 day step on live/sim is good for me because I tend to go into 'bad spells'. I think in the future when I become more consistent then I will need to take it off, but the market dynamics will change and it will usually take me a couple days to adjust. in the future, hopefully only once.

Nice! I have a gmail account, how do you bring it up online?

If you want your own, then create a spreadsheet at docs.google.com and then go to file-->share and add my gmail account as edit/view. PM me and I will send it to you. Or, I have exported mine and attached here.

For some reason the graph didn't port over.

I trade TF as well and recently have been profitable by eliminating stops, or rather, using the NQ in the opposite direction as a type of a stop. It has helped me eliminate losers in TF and stay on a trade while the bots are doing the stop and run.
