I agree with some of what you have said.

Sometimes, price jumps off of an area. And, it will just go one or two/three ticks and run like a bandit. Just to run through the stops. So resetting the fibs is always good, but I was looking at longer term fibs and thought that the market would go down, but the shorter terms seemed long.

I was thinking about a lot of what you mentioned. I think that is the key of this system is to look at the longer term charts and focus on taking trades in the direction of the long term trend on the deep retraces.

Obvious, but something I haven't been doing.

For instance, right now the obvious trend is down, so look for our signals only on shorts.

You made some good points and I looked at your entry (I put an arrow there as I was thinking of scaling my last one). I could have scaled out and that would have been smart, but I noticed that I have a hard time changing my mind. That used to not be my problem and I have videos from over a year ago where I would hit every pivot.

I appreciate your feedback though.

Long term is a relative term. Look at the run from 10:15 Eastern on 5/17 to 5/19; 20 points! But the swings are 3 points or more. With a 5 tick boundary, how much does a view beyond what 4181 provides help you? On the 20 point run 4181 was up every bar except for 2.

50K, daily etc..

I think it minimizes risk and the chances you get a longer run is probably more likely. Whether it is short term or long term, they all move the same.

Well, what a day! Typically, days like this I would get chopped up, but I know how to read the Indi's and it was telling me only 2 entries today.

Well, maybe 3, as my gift wasn't quite the right idea I guess, but ok with a little giving.

Trades:

1. -.5 points, I decided if it broke out a little that I would take it.

2. +3 points, This was a bit of luck as my management wasn't all that good. I had diverging indi's between long and short term. This looked like a decent pivot and it was. I only got filled one contract though, so NET = 1 point....

3. This trade never happened. Would have been a good couple points, and marked with double red arrows.

As I can see, I was up/down, no up, no down, etc..

For good reason.

152MB

If you record in AVI, then the files will be that large. If you have an AVI --> mp4 converter, then it will reduce it to 1/10th roughly without losing too much.

Hope this helps!

Wow, that long trade on the 5 minute mark was just awesome...trailed you stop perfectly to the top.

Well, actually, I think the stop trailing was probably a little too aggressive, BUT, the indi's were saying up/down/up/down/up/down etc. so I guess I was ok for doing it.

Thank you for the compliment. I think I would have been jumping up and down had I gotten filled on all 3, but I am curious where I would have scaled.

Also, it hit my area (Head & Shoulder) as well as the 23% retracement on longer term and it kept shorting from there, then it went up to 38/50 for a big short again. I was just trying to hit that 23% and take a couple points out of it, but it didn't want to make it there before my eyes got tired.

What a great day. I am getting more clarity, emotions are positive and staying to the side.

Thinking very technically. I don't know why it ran up at the 50% retrace or clear as to why it wanted that area before it finally went short, but I am ok with the trading and had I continued trading, I would have made several points!

The only regret I have is the 2nd trade I made, but that is the cost of business I guess at this point.

Trades:
1. +.1 points, I was late on starting w/ the trend, but took it anyways.

2. -.4 points, This was not such a good trade like I mentioned. Looking back, this was just poor "I can't miss it" trading.

3. +1.3 points, This was a nice move to the 50% retracement. My error here was exiting the 1 contract early. When will I learn?

I am more calm, more technical === better trader === more happy.

Bluemele, I have been looking at your videos and find them interesting. Is there any way that you might upload a template with your indicators and colors. I use Ninja 7 also. I would like to follow you more closely but it would be helpful if I can follow you on the same type of chart.

Thanks
Hector
