number of depth levels depends on the instrument you have selected, and also might be limited by the indicator or chart settings
Hope this helps

Depth level parameter in the indicator default is 10.

Also, NT Data feed only supports more than 10 levels for 2 Instruments, ES and CL.

I still haven't heard back from NinjaTrader regarding this Order Flow Indicator problem after 3 requests for help. Perhaps its a rare problem and they don't know the solution. Updated members in my Discord group are not having this problem. My 8.1.1.1 installation was a clean install so we can't blame Add-ons. I have a fast 6-core/12-thread computer with 64gb of RAM. I use an ethernet cable.

Another problem has surfaced this week. Twice I had NT8 lock up with both Live and Rithmic still connected. Internet connection was fine, the Tool Bar Clock showed the correct time, disconnecting and connecting did not solve the problem. I had to restart NT8 to get back on my charts.

Which brings up the third problem. Previously, I could shut down NT8, count to 10 and restart it. Now I have to do a complete computer restart which takes more time. Maybe I need to count to 30 with 8.1.1.1.

I think I will revert to 8.0.27.1.


NT8 Add Order Flow Functionality


Nope - I couldn't revert to a clean install of 8.0.27.1. Everything worked fine except I couldn't get Rithmic to connect to APEX. It worked the week before, not sure what's different.

However, I finally received NT8 assistance with 8.1.1.1 and learned I hadn't imported my NT8 license key into the Client Dashboard (due to it being a clean install). Now have my Order Flow Indicators back and everything is working fine this morning. I will stick with 8.1.1.1 and hope for the best.

Now I still have the problem of my Strategy Builder locking up NT8 when I click the 'add' button in Conditions and Actions: it did that with 8.0.27.1 too as soon as I added some Strategies. Maybe I don't need SB. It can be helpful for syntax though.

I am still using Ninjatrader version NT8.0.27.1 and i want to continue using it for a while. However, i need to do a fresh install to export indicators i have created with this version.

When i click the Download menu option in Ninjatrader NT8.0.27.1, i get an invalid page error. How should i proceed to download this version rather than the most recent version ?

I did send a request but was wondering do you know if we need to register for a NinjaTrader account to access old versions of Ninjatrader ?

I found my answer. You need to create a new identity and import your licence key then you'll have access to this URL:
https://account.ninjatrader.com:443/welcome-download

From there you can download the prior version.

Separately, I was caught in the "service outage" this week. Rolled back to 8.0. Beware that 8.1 eats your license code. Be sure you have it before upgrading.


I think NT should make the login optional. It is not needed if you don't have a brokerage account with them.

I have had outages also, this never happen in 8.0

I wish they would have left the client portal alone. Since the new changes I had to contact support just to change my email because the chatbot they have on there gives incorrect information on doing this. I could change everything else; name, address, etc except my email. Also, whatever changes have been made at the company instead of previously where you contacted support and would get a reply in short order now in some cases it is the next day. I realize they have a lot of clients but based on their past history of getting back with clients in a timely manner nowadays it is wait and see..

Anybody receiving a Continuum data feed delay here today

I have a 2 second delay on CL & ES
Anybody else? This has been a regular occurrence every couple of days since 8.1 was released

I'm still on 8.0.27.1 but when I attempted to update to NT8.1 the data lag was worse than in 8.0 so check your feed if I was you, anyway hope this is the right place to post
