No, I have working with NQ since 2020, before I had worked with Fdax and CL. I usually work with one instrument and I'm going step up contracts how step up account.
So, this strategy works well in many instruments and when the permorfance instrument as CL, I have backtest and choose the best instrument to work.
For example, in this moment the best instrument with the best returns is NG, but I'm confident with NQ and I don't have so much money for work with more instruments.
Yes, I've working with Phillip and they have low fees.

Yes, I've working with Phillip and they have low fees.

But don't they also have low margin requirements for day trades ?
Many brokers are down to 7 to 25% of the CME overnight margin requirements.

Why ? What's the rationale ?

If you were to "partner" up with with a multi-strategy investment firm they would want a hefty percentage in return for the buying power they provided.

What would they be asking for a $150k investment ? 25% ? 50% ? With that money, he could be trading 10 lots in NQ.

Because for me it's more important the safe of money, if you work in intraday market the movements are quickly and I need security with slippage in exactly moments as news, black swan, etc.
I'm working with 3 "stops": Stop loss, Hard Stop (Rithmic) and the third is % margin security.

What would they be asking for a $150k investment ? 25% ? 50% ? With that money, he could be trading 10 lots in NQ.

Same it! In this moment I'm working with 9 lots of NQ with $92K.

I saw many events incredible also I had some.

One good reason not to trade with small margin (high leverage) is not to go broke.

Too little margin is one of the classic ways for a trader to go under, from even a few smallish trades.

Traders should not under-estimate the risk of trading with low margin, or over-estimate their success. Not every trade will work.

Not a direct response to either post, just wanted to put that in there, as a reminder.

he would have to be able to scale his strategy 5X to make what he is currently making

I don’t understand, could you explain a few? Do you speak about notional value?

So how many contracts would that be for NQ ? He claims he is already up to 9 contracts.
He has not divulged his betsizing methodology.
Also, he has decided not to diversify into other instruments (CL, ES, etc). I wonder why ?
