My Guess on the ES. I am still bullish. I am flat and no positions overnight so I can sleep

We had a recent upthrust. Notice down bars have the higher volume. I am guessing a test of the dash line above ( 1526) briefly then down to 1516 or 1503. Puts at either of these levels. Of course, I would look for more time if I buy the 1503 put strikes. I will look at the open to decide which puts to buy. I am trading small, so I can lose less. K

It did not make it to the dash line, so I missed the move
lessons for future, get in with micro ( commit to the trade), take the heat or add later.

An ugly day so far. I tried a spread, but got very confused with two separate platforms ( NT and TWS), so I just closed for small loss. I will need to find a way to have it show on NT8. I also took a news long trade on MES that fizzled very quickly. I took a loss there as well.

I did not do good today either. I tried few things, but nothing really moved much, for me.
I do follow the plan with Gold ( MGC-Micro) and it gave me a litte profit. I got in early on this one since I missed it last time, which ended up being a good idea. My last MES trade was just out of boredom, but at least it was very small ( in micro lot). There some news, but nothing really. I had also expected a buying frenzy into the close. I put a BE limit to get me out and left the house to pick up my son. The drive took much longer than I anticipated ( long story), and got back when MES was closed. So am still holding a long into 5 CST. I tried another YM-NQ spread, but it did not go anywhere.
I will bail on my MES trade later this evening and I am still here to fight/trade another day tomorrow.





I am at zero loss for the day so far. An okay, easy but boring day!

I am busy setting up TWS to look at options. What data package do you subscribe to?
IB have USD 5.00 /Month for CME,Comex,Nymex, and the other one I forget the name. Do you know if thats the full list of instruments?

I just have the basic data package, which actually end up being refunded since I spend $30+ in commissions each month.
You don't need any special data subscriptions.

I took a CL call today early in the morning as shown in my earlier post. I usually take two, and take quick profit on the first when possible. But this one was the Oct contract and had 28 days to expiration, which means it was expensive. The total risk is about $420. The good news is that it worked immediately.
I also added to my MES long contract. I had expected the price to test the bottom of the channel, but its still painful to sit on a draw.

Nothing was closed to day, so no P/L.





I had expected some draw on the MES, but still a frustrating day again. All my technical showing that we should be much higher. But, that's not how it works, right?
