Around 10.30, 6E made a sharp down move. Swing support line @1.3794. It was touched 2 times. Also making a double bottom. So I shorted @1.3793. Order filled easily. +4 ticks in my favor. But soon I got trapped. It went up quickly. It touched 1.3804 price 3 times in next 3 bars. So I moved my stop to 1.3805 and placed a reverse order. After 30 minutes my stop got hit with -11 ticks and order reversed. Again +2 ticks in my favor and 6E went in opposite direction. More frustration. Waited another 10 minutes. 6E was in chop. So I exited at -3 ticks on reversed order. After 3 bars 6E went in my desired direction.

Second Trade : -5 ticks (6S)
After 2pm, swing support line @1.0728. This price was touched 2 times. So I shorted @ 1.0727. 6S took my order and went straight up. I was trapped again. My stop was @1.0740. I waited 30 minutes, no specific movement from 6S. I got tired and frustrated. So decided to exit at -5 ticks. Ofcourse as soon as I exited, 6S went into my desired direction to tease me.

Today was a rough day for me. Usually my trades do not last more than 10-15 minutes. But today was exception. Both trades lasted for more than 40 minutes.

Today currency market was almost dead. So I decided to try out CL because it seem to be relatively slow than before couple of days when it was making wild moves. Swing Resistance @103.47. It was touched 2 times. I was confident enough to place a long trade @103.51 with 20 ticks stop and 20 ticks target. CL broke through 103.50 as expected. It moved 15 ticks and started coming back. I got nervous and decided to exit with 8 ticks.

No trades today. I missed couple of opportunities on 6E today morning. I did a SIM trade on 6E that was good for 10 ticks, but it was during news time so not good for real trade.. After 12pm when Bernanke was speaking market was too choppy to trade.

I am losing my momentum a bit nowadays. I feel like I am going wrong way.

First Trade : 5 ticks (6S)
Nice support swing line @1.1061. Shorted @1.1059. 6S broke as expected. But it paused on a place for 5 minutes and I got nervous that it might start going in opposite direction. So decided to exit with 5 ticks. After that it moved in my direction for next 30 ticks.

Second Trade : -25 ticks (6E)
Another nightmare. I was watching 6E from morning. It touched yesterday's high @1.4196. Also there was a swing line @1.4199. I thought 1.4200 would be good resistance. So entered long @1.4201. I was very confident with this entry. But I don't know what happened. 6E started moving up with huge volume. It took my order and came back to hit my stop within 2-3 minutes. Usually this type of moves happens during news time. I checked my news indicator and there was no news. Not sure what happened there. I am sure there was some news came out that didn't show up on news indicator. May be I should just stop trading after 12pm.

This was a frustrating day. I need to build up mentally and emotionally. Any advise from you guys will be appreciated.

@safin, what has changed today vs several months ago when you were trading well?

Are you cash now and before sim (I can't remember)?

Any changes in personal life or work that are adding more stress?

Have you changed your method? Have you changed daily goals?

No change in method, it's still same. I was SIM before and now live. I am less aggressive with live account them SIM. That's one reason I may be losing. But even with live account I was making profit consistently. Less aggressive but profitable. It seems like I have lost track of regular trading. Getting busier and not enough time to look at charts everyday.
