Sorry Guys for not updating my journal for a long time. I have been very busy with a new member in our family. Hopefully I will be back to normal trading in few days. I will start journal again.

Hi Guys

I have been very busy with family. I was also on vacation for some time. So unable to post daily charts. It doesn't mean I was not trading. I have been on and off trading during this time. Ever since I opened my live account in last September, I made some consistent profit. I have a small account. But I was able to increase my capital by 50%, which is a good performance overall I guess. I had some roller coaster rides inbetween. At one stage I was up 60%, then went down to 2% and now up again to 50%. My strategy and method of trading is still same. No major changes.

Starting from tomorrow, I will start journaling again.

No trades today. There were few big moves by CL. But I was late in the party. BTW I also started trading my method with other instruments like 6E, 6C, 6J etc.

1-Feb

Total Profit : -8 ticks(3 trades)
1st Trade : -20 ticks (CL)
Support at: 91.76. Short at 91.74. -10-10 stop loss. I did a mistake. I should have waited for swing line. I entered assuming swing line would come at next bar.

2nd Trade : 6 ticks (6C)
Resistance at: 1.0075.. Long at 1.0076.. +5+1.. First target was 5 ticks. Second target was 10 ticks. Second target exited at BE.

3rd Trade : 6 ticks (6S)
Resistance at: 1.0678. It was also high of yesterday. Long at 1.0679.. +5+1.. First target was 5 ticks. Second target was 10 ticks. Second target exited at BE.


I need to develop more discipline with my entries.

1st Trade : 2 ticks (6S)
Support at: 1.0671. Short at 1.0669. +1+1 exited at BE after I moved my stop.It was a right entry, but unfortunate to hit BE..

2nd Trade : 6 ticks (6J)
Support at: 0.012250.. Short at 0.012249.. +5+1.. First target was 5 ticks. Second target was 10 ticks. Second target exited at BE.

3rd Trade : 13 ticks (6S)
Support at: 1.0648. Short at 1.0647.. +5+8.. First target was 5 ticks. Second target was 10 ticks. I moved second target feared of not getting filled. But that was good for at least 17 ticks.

4th Trade : 1 tick (CL)
This was just an experiment. I went with only 1 target of 17 ticks, but it exited at BE.

I did one more experimental SIM trade using 1-2-3 pattern on CL. it was good for 30 ticks. May be I can consider this in future for real trading.

Resistance at: 1.0089. Long at 1.090. +1+1 exited at BE.

2nd Trade : 6 ticks (6A)
Resistance at: 1.0102.. Long at 1.0104. +5+1.. First target was 5 ticks. Second target was 10 ticks. Second target exited at BE.

3rd Trade : -20 ticks (CL)
Perfect support at: 90.25. Short at 90.24.. -10-10 stop loss. Entry was right, but bad luck.

4th Trade : 3 ticks (6A)
Support at 1.0085. Short at 1.0084. +5 -2. I wanted to give more room to second target, so I moved it stop to -2 instead of +1. But it got hit.

5th Trade : 8 ticks (6S)
Resistance at 1.0582. Long at 1.00583. +4+4. I was not expecting a big move here so reduced both targets to 4 ticks. I did well.

I am having difficulty understanding moves of CL from last couple of days. I should stay away from it for some time. On the other hand currencies have given good results.

4-Feb

I was busy today so could not capture charts.

This was a positive week for me except two bad trades on CL. But still few green $$s for me.

Market was a bit dull today. Not many opportunities. I got resistance line at 1.0443 on 6S. Shorted at 1.0442. No movement for some time and I exited at BE-1 tick.
