CL bot took 2 trades today. First trade exited at 5 ticks becuase it lasted for more than 5 minutes. Second trade was a stop loss of 21 ticks. My confidence in CL bot on 5 mins chart is almost gone now. I am studying 15 mins chart on CL to see if it can give me better results. So far it's looking good. But not as stable as ES 15 mins. Need to study a bit more.

ES bot did not take any trades today.

CL bot took only one trade today. Exited at BE.

ES bot took 2 trades. First one was loser with -12 ticks. Second trade was winner with 15 ticks. Second trade was lucky, because it was in middle of news time. I did not notice it until later.

Apart from this I did one discretionary manual trade using my old S/R breakout method. That was good for 40 ticks.

CL bot took only one trade today. I am going to stop using this bot now. It's not making any sense to continue with it. I will build a same strategy on 15 mins chart and see how it goes.

For ES bot there were no trades today.

Ok, I have stopped using CL bot on 5 mins. I am using same bot on 15 mins chart now. Stop is same as IB length. Profit target is 50 ticks. Move stop to BE once Profit target reaches half of IB length. Move stop to half of IB length when Profit reaches IB length. Today no trades for CL bot. ES bot took 1 trade that was BE.

CL was making wild moves today. There were couple of inside bars, but stops were too large. So no trades on CL today.

I did not post yesterday because I was busy. Attached is ES chart.

CL again made wild moves today. So no affordable IBs. ES had one chance to enter short. But Profit target was falling under S/R area. So bot did not took it.

CL kept making large moves. CL bot did not take any trades today. ES bot took 1 trade that was good for 24 ticks. Other than that I did one manual trade on ES, exited it with -4 ticks.

I am done for the week. Tomorrow is Friday and I don't want to trade it.

This week ES bot ended up with 28 ticks. No trades yet for CL bot.

No trades today on any bot. Large moves on both instruments.

I was studying QM(E-Mini Crude Oil) and M6E (Micro Euro) during this weekend. QM is following same price levels as CL. I am thinking about running IB strategy on QM rather than CL. QM is less risky (half size than CL). I can afford larger stop ticks.

Inside bar on ES around 2pm. ES strategy took that trade and it was perfectly executed. Although fill was at the end of tail.

No trades on CL.

Other than that I took one live trade on M6E (Micro Euro) manually. That was a stop loss of 22 ticks. Execution was perfectly fine. But market rebounded. I am using 30 mins chart for M6E and using same IB breakout to enter trade. I keep profit target to double than IB bar length. Stop is equal to IB bar length. I have been studying M6E and it's looking good to trade live because it has very less risk. $1 per tick. So it removes fear of pulling the trigger. Only problem is less liquidity. Let's see how it goes.
