Hey Sunbim31,
Excellent stuff, can you explain further what do you mean by second retest entry via candlestick patterns. Have you tried drawing lines at higher TF for S/R then use your current smaller TF and find patterns that would occur along the higher TF and trade accordingly. Also, if you read the previous YTC newsletter, Lance describes a way to filter the candlestick patterns. Hope this helps.

BP

Hi BP

Thanks for your comments.I tried to keep things simpler as after many years of search for Indicators, Systems & Holy Grails narrowed down to what Lance Beggs wanted to convey through his lessons & teachings from Al Brooks ( although I am still reading his book again & again with slow progress, hope the next three books will be much simpler & reader friendly as YTC series).
I trade Nifty Futures, NSE India only.
  • I do follow trend lines & trend channels,
  • Use hourly & 30 min S/R line in 5 min chart,
  • Hammer & shooting stars at S/R levels ,
  • Higher TF Pivot breakouts
  • IBs after falls & rises
  • 2nd high failure of the day coupled with high upper tail bars & vice versa at 2nd Low failure,
  • EMA 20 as intra day trend direction,
I trade max 2-3 contracts with these setups 2-3 times a day , with squaring one around 6-10 points, drawing the SL to cost and swing the other one for a little more.
I get my SL hit many times still.
Will increase the position size once consistency in winning trades increases.

Regards

I see the picture here and some notes on the chart but I don't see where your entries and exits were. Do you have them on the chart and I just don't know what I'm looking for?

Thanks,

-Alli

When I'm looking at your charts, how can I tell where your entries and exits are on the chart? :-) I'm trying to follow your trades but can't figure out where you're getting in and out.
