I hope your right bob, but right now we seem to be heading in the opposite direction.


It was funny and should be funny. The fact that we have got to the point that "science vs I read it on the internet" is politically charged unfortunately says a lot to me about the direction of mankind.

EDIT: @bobwest Just to clarify I'm not complaining about your moderation. The civility of this site is one of its best features. Keep up the hard work.

General comment, without addressing anyone's action as I have not seen the deleted post:
Well, it happens from time to time that the post does not catch-on or catches too much attention/discussion.
Different backgrounds cause different perceptions.
On the other hand, if the joke IS politically correct (in the broad meaning of it) - may not be funny!

But for the sake of FIO - if not suitable - let's delete it and keep posting!
