I just don't understand why any orders should be held locally. It's a shame the burden falls on the customer to get a vps to remedy this. There should be a law that mandates server side oco considering that's probably where the majority of conflict their call centers deal with.

How can you institute something as the law when it's the exchange is the one that does not accept it?
There are varying degrees of infrastructures, and just because someone offers it, does not mean that you should not have the choice to choose where your OCO resides.

I have an account at Mirus and called them to discuss this email from AMP

They confirmed that ZenFire has been updated to add things like server side OCOs and sent me this link for more info...

Sounds like a new download of NinjaTrader is coming out next week.
Thinking Amp may have been left out in the cold.

Stay beef!

This is not zenfire, but new BigTick platform that Mirus offers as beta right now. I've been on it last 3 months.

I guess the exchange not accepting it is the source of my frustration.
Why doesn't the data feed offer it as an option by default?

tderrick, BigTick still has some issues, mostly disconnections during slow market (I trade CL) with Ninja. MirusTrader works well. I wait for next NT release 7.18 to see if it helps with disconnections. But server side OCOs are awesome :-)

Confusing isn't it, because when you go to that link all it mentions is ZF and nothing about Big Tick at all.

Gosh this gets frustrating.

You are obviouly a customer of Mirus as am I (have been for years).

Why is it that you had to call them to be told about this notice and why is it that I had to read about it on a forum.

Mirus should have emailed their customers with this link. What is the point of them putting this sort of thing on a web page if no one knows how to find it - and believe me when I first saw the AMP letter I looked high and low on the Mirus site to see if I could see any notice from them about ZF.

Mirus send out enough blog updates, how hard would it be to include it in that. Even today there has been no mass communication from Mirus about the CME fee changes. I had to email support to get some less than satisfactory response.

Rant over.

Why doesn't the data feed offer it as an option by default?

It's complex. Some do, some don't.
Some stream it only to their own platforms, some allow it via their feed on others.
Sometimes the platform has to accept the feed capabilities as well.

@tderrick,

You could always pay an extra $50/month and sign up for Kinetick. Great data and connection in my experience. Your orders would still have to be routed through CQG using CQG Trader or any of the other free order-routing venues available at AMP. For instance, you could just put the CQG Trader DOM next to your Ninja/Kinetick charts.

By the way, are you're CQG disconnects data or order-routing disconnects or is it all the same connection?
