There are some classics that sell at higher prices, even if they are used. This book was published in 1990 and is no longer available as a printed copy.

Day Trading With Short Term Price Patterns and [AUTOLINK]Opening Range Breakout[/AUTOLINK]: Toby Crabel: 9780934380171: Amazon.com: Books

Worth reading, but I would not pay $ 625 for a used copy. I think Crabel does not wish to produce a second edition of this book for several reasons

-> some of the information in that book is really useful
-> the subject is not really well presented

But the book remains a must read for every (automated) system trader, although it is over 20 years old.

People should keep in mind that for many of these ridiculously priced books, the local library is a great option. I was able to borrow the Crable book from a local university.

I saw this site blog about "the world’s most prominent writer & speaker about trend following.", Michael Covel, (has anyone heard of him?) commenting about the "Toby Crabel’s Day Trading With Short Term Price Patterns and Opening Range Breakout" book with other posted comments and reviews.

Michael Covel is a former member of the turtles trading group...He has a podcast and a good friend and mentor, Nick Radge was interviewed by him a while ago...

Most systematic traders would have heard of Covel. While his comments are a little surprising at their acidity, i can understand why he's pissed...he is published as well.

Cheers,

XS
