If you have time would you be so kind as to post the rules for that PROP firm. I think there are so many trades that must be placed a day, and some instrument restrictions... Their website only talks about what won't allow you to move forward to a live account, not what will. Thank much. Good luck.

Hi Mainstream

I'll recommend your emailing their Support to address any issues you may have IF their Q&A section does not give you a complete picture. I am reluctant to post their website here as I just started the program today.

I already learned that they do not really like one doing maximum 5-contract trades. It's all about risk I guess.

I tried to upgrade to Ninja 7 Release 4 this afternoon .. no luck .. I MUST remove the last assembly from the system and it does not allow me to remove DundasWinGauge:

2011-04-11_1505 - Bethwgreenie's library

I do not recall importing this assembly and have no idea how to identify the file in question. Ninja Customer Service told me the last resort will be de-installing .. a big headache as I will lose my indicators/templates/workspaces etc.

Please help!

Beth (desperate)

those should be in folder My Documents\NinjaTrader 7\bin
also delete prometheus indicator in indicator folder.

go directly to folder and delete it yourself.

Thanks Cory. Your prompt suggestion has confirmed my guess. Unfortunately, Prometheus is not in the Indicator folder. Should I delete TradersInsightV4 instead? Please advise.

I have never online traded, I have been educating myself through online forums. Did you start out in Futures and would you say that starting with YM, NQ or TF is too much for a beginner.

My belated thanks Cory. I succeeded in upgrading to NT 7 Release 4 after removing the cousin indicators lol.

I am green for the 4-week program as of this moment. Not many trades though as my allergy is back this week + I encountered some platform issues. Still positive and confident that I will make more green pips in the coming weeks before satisfactory completion of the program .. smile ..

Hi Superdoug

Browsing forums is good because you will get to know tons of generous and sharing members + trying out complimentary and effective indicators/systems. Have you visited some forex forums? Will you consider trading forex pairs and not futures as a start? How about E-micro futures for certain currencies (eg M6B) or 6B ($6.25/pip) and not $10-$12.5 for most?

"If" I can turn the clock back, I would love to start with an instrument that offers more room for learning mistakes .. thus would not leave too many emotional scars after consecutive losing weeks. Once you gain more confidence in yourself and your system, you are free to add a new instrument.

There're threads in the forum on forex trading. You may want to visit a few and knock at the experts' door for advice. Another effective learning tool is to create a new thread here sharing your progress. You can ask and share anything you want. Thousands of members are willing to jump in and you will be in good hands. Please consider.

Happy and Fruitful Learning!

Beth

I only traded 3 mornings (Thu one was a quickie right before the market opened) as I had to tackle some platform/chart/allergy issues.

Mon +4 (1 winner +6 and 1 loser -2)
Tue Nil
Wed +5 (1 winner +11 and 2 losers -1 and -5)
Thu +1 (1 winners +1)
Fri -11 (1 winner +10 and 2 losers -14 (2 contracts) and -7)

Net -1 for the week lol (all 6E trades)!

Major Lessons Learned:

1. No chasing (I was late for most losers and punctual entry did get to 8-10.)
2. Staying focus on the big picture/overall trend direction (When I got anxious to recover and/or make a bigger green week, I lost focus and took signals aro small swing areas. You can tell my "uncalled for enthusiasm" this morning -21 within minutes .. sigh ..)

No 1 Goal for the Coming Weeks (should always be):

Focus Focus Focus!

I also need to decide if I want to have CL charts up. They did side-track me and I ended up missing great signals on both instruments. They're great signals especially when I missed them .. ooooo ...

Sooooo, it's a fruitful week as I am more aware of the areas for improvement (same old .. same old). Wouldn't it be great "if" I closed down the station early today and saved some pips?!! Actually that's the cure .. no chasing will definitely save today's 21 pips .. telling me that a monthly goal of $1K is realistic .. haha ..

Let's see what may happen next week.

Take care and have a Lovely weekend.

Beth (Spring is here .. no more snow .. hooray ..)
