To start the Year of the Rabbit, interesting things happened .. smile ..

1. Power outrage after the winterstorm. We finally got a rehearsal on the back-up battery. It gave me enough time to shut down the trading station. If I was in a trade, I would be able to exit .. great news!

2. I accidentally entered into a real CL counter-trend trade. With Ergodic on my side, I stayed a little and made +3. Really scary as I thought I was on sim when I placed the trade .. then noticed it's live. Racing heart and shaking fingers even after exit. Too unexpected. I must add that I was a little distracted when we heated up a vegetarian curry dish to celebrate the new year.

3. Having read more on Ergodic, I have a faster one (Panel 3) this morning for comparison. I like it so far though too early to decide.

For the afternoon, I plan to go through more historical data to see how the slower/faster Ergodic indies differ/perform.

Continue enjoying your day (first day of the Rabbit Year)!

Beth

Beth,

Are you trading eminsniper, ergodic, both entries by tehmselves, or one confirming the other?

Hi Monpere

I am trading Eminisniper set-up (mostly the divergence ones) with Ergodic as filter, ie both Signal/Main lines are heading the same direction else pass. Seemed this filter may increase the win rate of regular ones as well. Need more monitoring and/or with historical data to back this up.

Talking about an accidentally trade... A few years ago, i was trading on a booktrader on I.B. and i had placed sounds on that booktrader so i knew when i did enter a trade, when target was made and so on.
After a trade i left my desk to get a cup of coffee ( i drink really to mutch coffee) and when i was in another place i did here a sound of entering a trade.......
I immediatly went to my desk and i could see my cat plying with the (compute)r mouse . I took immidiatly the control and wonder above wonder could make a few ticks in my advantage........
needless to say i always disarm the booktrader before going away from my desk.

I learned my lesson!

you all, trade carefully

If you're a "serious" Ergodic learner, you may want to visit the following 227-page thread:

Forums - ProfLogic's Method

Note:

1. System rules on page 10
2. Ninja indicator (version 6.5) on page 211

Oh, have not tried the indicator yet.

Now you know what I did for the past 6 hours .. now sleepy eyes zozozo ..

I am glad that I can take a break now .. no more Ergodic research for a while. You may wonder if I will spend more time on studying the Ergodic system. Luckily not .. I only want to have it as an additional filter for the current set-up. It's a profitable system (75-80% was mentioned in the thread I vaguely remember) yet it's quite sophisticated .. with 3 volume charts for Trending, Direction and Entry + detailedly laid out rules.

I'm going to stay as-is and focus on enhancing my trade entry/management skill. No reluctance in placing an order when a high probability signal shows up. Millisecond counts lol!

Take care and stay cozy.

as soon I you mention ergodic I think of that thread but then it has a diff take on chart (using volume bar with huge interval = long waiting time) that I think it may conflict with what you are doing.

Yes Cory, I agree with you 1,000,000,...%. When I was in my search/learning mode, I would go through whatever out there just to get some new ideas/tips. From the thread, I learned something new such as PPF (Previous Price Failure), Breach and Prime Support/Resistance. I don't know how am I going to incorporate the new knowledge into my scalping set-up yet. It's on my non-trading activity list for more investigation/assessment .. haha ..

Thank You!
