I have a handwritten list the I put together from my wife last night. It is laying on my desk. But she has been strangely distant recently, and tonight I found out it has a lot to do with my passion about trading. Not sure how this will turn out. To me, I am finally embracing uncertainty, and trading better than ever before. To her, she is growing tired of uncertainty...

The target keeps moving.

Our wives seem wired to desire and need a certain level of safety and certainty. Its a truism that we as traders must embrace uncertainty while at the same time shielding our spouses from it. To be sure it is a delicate and often times treacherous road we must traverse on this our trading journey.

My wife seems at long last to have embraced or at least accepted the uncertainty of it all and no longer has a come apart when I have a down day. And this last few weeks as I've experienced drawdown, she has been great but still I feel like its my duty to partially shield her from the blast of uncertainty when it arrives like a cold front from Alaska.

I too expressed a certain passion for trading some months back. And while I love trading, its no longer the focus of my life. From the beginning, I wanted it to be a means to an end. Along the way it became the end in and of itself. This was not good.

One of my friend's death a year ago, another friends cancer, and now my own cardiac episode reminds me that trading is in fact, simply a means to earn money and not a passionate lover.

I think we all could do well to remember to reserve our passion for those that can return it.

Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication, Leonardo da Vinci

TUT email of the day;

When you tough it out, hold the line, and stay the course, Gary, I promise you there will soon come a day when you look back over your shoulder, shake your head in dismay, and seriously wonder what all the fuss was about.

Just like all the other times,
The Universe

Target #3 hit. +13, +20, +36. Countertrend in the immediate sense, will see if price comes back into value. Done for any real risk. Not ready to post daily net yet though.

Sellers hitting the hard edge of lower 1SD ETH

Which is also lower edge of TPO value, and .5 SD RTH

But I am a buyer of this market right now. Going to see if they get hammered into the close.

Should have held that short this morning... I need to exit where I would buy, maybe? Maybe I will do replays using nothing but the Reverse button for awhile and see how that feels to get my head around that thought.
