Hey guys,

It is my great pleasure to announce that @bobwest has joined the futures io team as a new moderator!

Bob has been a valuable member of our community for more than six years, during which time he has done an exemplary job of setting an example of exactly what this community stands for: helpfulness & understanding of the challenges of being a trader.

Thank you @bobwest for agreeing to become a moderator -- by doing so, we'll have one more set of eyes watching for any problem posts like spam or rudeness, and another set of eyes to be looking for threads that are duplicates or placed in the wrong sections and need to be moved, etc etc.

Some changes have been made to the way we display our "favicon" on multiple devices, mobile/desktop, etc. The changes may take a day or two to fully propagate throughout the caching system.

If you see any problems with the new favicon in your web browser tab, or on your mobile device, please report it.

Hi Mike
Is there a glitch with Custom User Titles. I had mine as 'Elite Member' but when the style changed a week or two back it changed to my default of Market Wizard. I re-saved it then back to Elite Member but noticed this morning that I was a Market Wizard again. I have changed it back to Elite Member but was wondering whether my chosen Custom User Title is going to keep deleting and going back to the default setting?
Not a biggie, just something I noticed since the recent typeface style change.

You do not win as a trader, you just get to play again the next day. If that game doesn’t appeal to you then you should not trade. Gary Norden

While I was at yoga for the last hour, the site started experiencing some problems. I am investigating. Site is responding extremely slowly or not at all until I identify the issue.

Site is back up. I identified the issue, it was caused by a particular user using a download manager to download a 1GB file and split it into multiple concurrent downloads (a large number). This somehow caused a race condition in our nginx caching, and the server was in a loop of trying to fill & delete the 1GB cache over and over many times per second.

I'll look into finding a permanent solution to prevent this in the future.

Apologies for the downtime, it happened moments after I left the house for yoga and thats why it took so long for me to resolve -- my phone was off.
