I've made a change to the Question & Answer feature section of the site. Previously, only the original poster (OP) of a thread could mark a particular post as an "Answer". Or a site moderator. However, too frequently the OP overlooks this ability. So, I've changed this to allow any Elite Member to mark a post as "Answered" in these featured threads. Could you please help me test and confirm this is working correctly? On the homepage, top left, you'll see a section of recent Q&A board threads. Please click through them and find the ones that have at least one reply to the original post. In that case, you should see an option to allow you to click 'Answer' on that post and mark the thread as Answered. Please let me know. I believe this is in the best interest of the community. I should also point out that the list of questions is cached by the system for one hour at a time, so there may be a short discrepancy between a thread you've recently marked as Answered and what the forum homepage shows. This is to speed up the home page. Mike

Hi guys,

Changes today to some of the subforum names/titles. Decided to simplify.

Made some changes to add more prominence to private messages and pending notifications, plus adding some popular shortcuts here. Let me know if you have ideas on good shortcuts to place here.

I also placed one to encourage members to add an avatar, if they don't have one already. I also plan to add one like "make your first post and introduce yourself" if they have zero posts.

Other ideas?

It worked for me Mike, but I'm a mod.

Non-mods still need to do some testing so we can know if it works OK or not. Just click the button that says something is an answer to a question in the "Ask a Question" list.... Pick one and click it.

Hi guys,

I'm in the process of replacing most of the site buttons with vector images instead of raster images.

For example, next to posts -- here is the old button style:



and the new buttons:



The difference may be negligible on your monitor depending on the size and resolution. It likely shows more on a device like an iPad.

I've accidentally made a small mistake and forgot to create the multiquote toggle button, so temporarily that will be a broken image. I'll fix it shortly.

Please give me your feedback, and please point out any buttons I may have missed. I'm working right now on the search box button, and social media buttons at the top of the page. Will take a bit longer.
