We are going to add some new contests to our social media experience: Twitter Tuesday and Facebook Friday.

Please make sure you are following us on both platforms. In addition to the one Elite Membership code we've been giving away each week, we are now adding two more on Tuesday and Friday.

These new giveaways are specifically for people to share their trades and their charts/screens. You need to @ us (mention us) on the platform, with your post on Twitter or Facebook, and we will select a random winner from those submissions.

If you are already an Elite Member, we still want you to participate. You can then post the coupon code on futures io if you wish, so it can be given away or used by someone else that isn't Elite yet.

So the idea is: mention us/tag us on social media with your posts, and earn a chance for a free Elite Membership code.

I want to also just mention that to prevent abuse, we do require a $1.00 USD payment (which means a 99% discount) to use the code. If you want the money refunded, we can do that after-the-fact since we did say it would be free of course. But we have to record a payment in our system to make it work and prevent abuse.

Tip Another way to use the Beta Threadloom search: If you are looking for posts by user, but would like to remove results from one or more threads, this is the syntax: user:<username> -thread:<thread id> You can even exclude multiple threads For example user:xplorer -thread:39605 -thread:38736 would return all posts by @xplorer excluding the Funny Pic of the Day and the Brexit 101 threads. You can find the thread id in the title of the thread, for example https://nexusfi.com/traders-hideout/38736-brexit-101.html

Just a note on this as I got a question. You can still participate in contest by sharing charts on each social network, but prizes are being delayed in awarding due to @Big Mike being on Vacation. Once he returns we will go through the submissions and alert the winners. So get out there and start showing your charts!

I am trying to use the beta test threadloom search feature, but it does not seem to be working, it brings me to the normal advanced search we have. It was working fine last night.

Was there any update on this being discontinued?

This happened once before. Seems to be the same symptoms.

Last time it resolved by itself. If not, hopefully @Big Mike will pick this up when he's back and will be able to help.

Kernel 4.19 deprecated an XFS fstab mount option that caused the file system to go read-only after a routine update. It took a while to come back online, the server hadn't been rebooted in over a year.

Please report any problems.

It's controlled by them, probably a server issue on their side that has been resolved.

The primary server isn't. Just a storage server, but the primary didn't gracefully recover from an NFS mount issue so I just bounced it instead of waiting longer. Probably because the mount went read-only unexpectedly.

ive actually had an issue where i renamed volumes that were mounted(not in fstab) and that turned them to read only. dont know why. filed a bug report about it.
