Covered long ES at 1622.50 with a loss. Trend line violated too early for my taste.

I guess, I was too scared giving back some of my nice profits of last week. My original stop was below the low of the day, but I moved it up...

But I'm not going to chase this market. Waiting for the next trade setup...

I should be given a trophy for outstanding trading performance this week... I've accomplished the incredible feat of generating a loss with a long position this week! Not many can copy that... lol

Takes skill!. But then everyday I look at my system and usually do the opposite of what it says - now that's a real skill.

Haha... that's also good!

You should pay attention, if these "opposite trades" lead to better results

Taking these mistakes with humor instead of endless anger and frustration is definitely a faster way to get back on track.

I have a habit of getting off-track after huge wins. But before, this led to large losses which even overcompensated my huge win. I guess, I have improved in this regard. Maybe I should build into my excel journal an automatic "screw up" alert after x% gain on my equity.

Will possibly not be able to post my exit in or close to real-time due to a business trip today. Orders are placed though. Will probably return towards cash close.

Long ES at 1661.25 at trend line.

Tight stop. Might re-enter long a bit later if stopped out.

@ratfink: As you can see in my trade summary, I've included now the automatic "screw up alert" in my excel journal That means, that I have to watch out next week not to screw up, i.e. be too timid to give away profits or have any bias which deviates from the optimal trading mindset/behavior. Let's see, if it works...
