I remember when they came out. I was about the same age, maybe a little older. I ended up getting an Apple IIe instead.



Messed around with that for a year or two and then sold it when I got to high school so I could buy a used one of these:




Needless to say, the chicks were a lot more impressed. My chances of being a future tech billionaire, however, dropped to zero.
