I love three things about your battle station:
  1. The curved monitors..... my wife and trading partner will freak when she sees these
  2. The Logical Trader.... a great book, right behind my trading station and one that I reference regularly
  3. The bull crushing the bear.... I have a brass bull statue on my desk, treading uphill
Thanks for the info and inspiration on the traveling monitors. My wife will want one of those for next time we hit the road.

@cpolk2013

Your setup is really nice and even though I was hoping to be among the top 3 myself you definitely deserve my vote and a top spot

Is 49 inch a good size and easy to see everything on the screen or is it a bit to wide?

The 49 inch monitors are THE BEST !!! It is a GREAT size and is NOT too wide. You can see EVERYTHING on the screen. Before buying these monitors, I did a lot of research. Dell and Samsung were the 2 top contenders. I discovered that Samsung's 49 inch monitor was better for gaming and had a lower resolution than the Dell. The resolution for the Dell 49in is 5120x1440 and the Samsung CHG90 is 3840x1080. I also tried 1 Dell 49in and 1 Dell 38in monitor with the 38in monitor stacked on top but I was not happy with the setup. I immediately returned the 38in monitor and purchased the 2nd Dell 49in monitor.

Each Dell 49in Monitor is equivalent to Two 27in Monitors side-by-side without and space between the monitors ( and less cords !!! LOL). The super high resolution makes a BIG DIFFERENCE !!!! It's not cheap, but worth every penny IMO. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask me. Hope this helps!!!

Samsung's actual contender is the C49RG94SSU (49in, 5120x1440, 120hz, QLED HDR) which costs about the same as
Dell's monitor.

Correct. Samsung came out with this model after I purchased my Dell 49in monitors. Also, The Dell 49in monitor uses an iPS panel and the Samsung uses a VA panel for display.

So, I work in a bar. And, I can finally check that off my bucket list! Actually the bar is in my house. But I never had much use for it except spreading out one of a thousand projects.

Anyway, I really just started with what I had, a Mac and an old monitor. When I got Ninja, I had to get an MS OS. I opted for the cheapest lappie I could find and found a monitor on sale. I tried having it all at my desk, and even made a keyboard shelf to my little computer cart, but I just felt kinda trapped. And, the bar was right there, begging me to clear it off. I already had the fun stuff on the shelves, so I just had to move in. I think I like the standing the best, though I’m a big fan of whimsy.

Thanks to Trading IO and Jigsaw Trading for opening up a world of knowledge and opportunity! And thanks to all you guys for posting your cool workstations. You've inspired some great ideas, and I think you're all really swell.
Quixotically Yours
