Thanks for the flashback! Rotary phone modem, not shown, sold separately. My dad has an original TRS-80 Model I, back before they added the numeric 10-key to the keyboard.

My first PC was a TRS-80 Model 4D (graduation gift). Learned how to hack assembly code on it. My first modem was 300 baud (~0.000000558793544769287109375 or 5.5879e-7 Gbps for those too young to know what baud means). I loved that keyboard. Never traded on it, though.

For what it's worth, 30 years ago futures.io would be: Futures BBS (formerly known as BMT BBS). :bmt-rocks:

Wow, I used to have one of those back in the day!

I like two monitors to see charts limited to most useful information.

A simple but very effective setup. Multi time frame up top, DOMs on the left, and volume charts on the right along with the NYSE Tick and ADV/DECL line (split). Three correlated markets for maximum precision while trading.

I hope everyone is having a great summer!

I've been having many successes in scalping on the 610 tick chart recently. Thanks to the volitility given from the Fed cut and tariffs. If you notice that too, give me a thanks!

Please give me a thanks anyways, because I would love to be one of the top three winners!

These trading platforms are like boats to fishermen. It's a vehicle that we use to make money.

Even though I have Ninjatrader, I would also like to have the Jigsaw Daytradr, just in case Ninjatrader keeps pissing me off. I've had the platform randomly shut down on me twice. All of a sudden, the program closes, and I would have to restart it and log in. I was lucky I wasn't in a trade during those times.

It also has alot of great tools that NT8 doesn't have, and how both platforms can bridge together! It would be fantastic to see how that would work out.

Cheers! and trade well!

@Statman FYI your photo did not come through, please try again.

Mike

That's a good set up Kareem, maybe one more monitor is about the most one needs for actual trading.

Years ago I used to have 10 large monitors, but contrary to popular believe - more monitors simply divert your attention and make you try to follow more things than you can or is necessary. If one is a day trader, to make real money, one needs to trade one Market only, and a few monitors is plenty for that.

Good luck !!!

Thanks Mickey. I do have another laptop to the side, but that's for my full time job. I do agree with you, in trading, less is more. Less screens, less bars , less indicators, less instruments, means less distractions and ( usually) more money.
Of course I only trade to make $200 a day with low risk and low stress. Some of the guys in here are trading big.

K
