Hello Fellow Traders!!!!!!



My name Paul and I've been trading for now close to 20yr. with varied results. I love to trade!!!! However, I've have not been able to QUIT MY JOB!!!!! ANYONE KNOW WHAT I MEAN LOLOL!!!! I still make many of the same old mistakes MANY OF US DO!!! Over trading, revenge trading, getting in to late or to early, over leveraging to make up on losing trades and the list goes on!!!! I think my personal behavior patterns have a lot to do with my trading most definitely. I've finally learned my behaviors and am rectifying after 20yrs. I really need you guys to keep me focused. I want to thank Big Mike and the rest of Futures.io team for keeping this site going for traders like me.

I signed up last night to read the posts. I have been trading MNQ on TOS but still trying to decide on a platform/brokerage to move to eventually.

It depends on what kind of trading you want to do but TradeStation is probably near the top of many people’s list. Especially algo traders. I’ve heard good things about multi charts as well but I have stuck with TradeStation.

Tradestation is a platform I have been considering. But, I have a few accounts with several other brokerages: Interactive Brokers, Tastyworks, and Fidelity. I don’t find their platforms to be useful for trading. I will move an account to Tradestation for order types, placement, and order/trade matrix. Are you on Tradestation 10? Are there any issues that they have not fixed yet?

However, for futures trading, I am not sure if another platform is better suited. A few of the traders who blog and vlog use order flow and depth to trade and will try out jigsaw and bookmap.

I have been reading and watching several videos about Tradestation and other platforms: Ninja Trader, Jigsaw, Bookmap, Tradovate, etc. I have to take in to account commissions as they can add up.

At some point, will they sunset 9.5? I noticed lot of people not upgrading to 10. How difficult is it to upgrade your strategies to 10?

Right now I trade MES, M2K CL, QM, NG, and MGC. The algos are mostly ones I got from Kevin Davey and other online sources. Art Collins is another resource I have used. I joined the strategy factory club earlier this year and that is a huge resource for algos. A lot of the algos are some form of breakout strategy.
