The volumes on the Dec contract are still much lower than the Sept contract. Isn't that key in deciding which contract to trade?

Hi @Deetee

Be aware that the prices on the "old" contract 2 days before witch date might be pushed into any direction. Which does not have anything to do with the real prices.
So from my experience I see a "let go the old one" within 3 days before end of contract. The new Dec contract will follow the pricing (on another level of course) much better than the ball played by the forces in the market to get some extra money out in the last meters. Think of it!

Thursday - the DAX family is growing

Just before next week on Monday (right after triple witch tomorrow) the DAX30 changes into DAX 40 we find a new DAX member in the table - which is Number 31 for the moment:

DAX 30 again today

Today after the day when VITESCO TECHNOLOGIES GROUP AG
WKN: VTSC01 ISIN: DE000VTSC017 Ticker-Symbol: VTSC stepped up into the DAX30 - it is already business as usual: the company is now a normal stock member but no longer IN the DAX - means we see the normal mixture until Monday when the known and chosen 10 new members will make the group of the DAX 40.

Looking forward to the new situation - with some caution in the first 2 months concerning stops, vola, volume and threats.

Today we see Asia mostly green.
No important announcements.
DAX made erratic moves yesterday - known before triple witch.
btc$ on the steady move up.

Triple witch on SEP futures will end in Germany 13:00 local time.

Will take a trade which has special conditions on this important witch day.

edit 9:07 - IB started with a jump above yesterday's range. Shows the powers to push prices up. That might get better from 10:30. Which is my trade entry time.
edit 9:19 - price failed to pass the 15800 and fell back into yesterdays range. Also false side of Kumo 4h stopped it. That was it!
A reversal will be the result.
edit 11:35 - on track!
Next goal 15612 - if this is within this trade time is not sure - well:::
edit 12:11 - the goal already had been EXACTLY reached
Looking forward now for the next diving points until 14:30
edit 12:40 - new levels are @ hand: like 15540 and 15481
edit 14:10 - vigilant getting out on the 30m when the price closed on the entry
difficult to see where development will get to within the next 2 weeks from here

thanks, was a nice move. unfortunately, I missed the exit. I lowered the SL by expecting another drop after 2PM. Got some points, that's what counts.

My entry was already 30m beyond the best entry. So the exit was the same...
My rules told me on the trading window - reality was 30m shifted.
