Already 3 months of trades. Here a short overview on both of my journals here:

Result not so bad - especially when watching the gain per trade over both systems together.

Happy Easter

Hi @GFIs1

What would you list as the factors to the success of your system?

Regards

Hi @Sazon

Thanks for asking: The core worth of the system is to omit any bad moments where one loses more than previous gains. By finding the "troubled waters" - here the DAX - one can find the TIME of sitting on hands (SOH). Very powerful!
So I found for my 1 trade per day that Tuesday and Thursday are not worth to trade: too little gains for the effort. Just as an example. Of course the rules for when to enter the trade (timing), direction and exiting time as well as the SL settings are important. Thus one needs to look back to 2 previous days, to upcoming numbers during the day, to the volume of the initial balance (here 9:00 to 9:30) and of course most important holidays, holidays holidays
For all situations a package of rules are written in my trading plan. Sometimes so tricky that a combination can not be programmed.

Then in my second system "Walzer" I took the high vola to trade when I am forced to not trade the 1 trade per day. Both systems are made for a special situation - here both are completing each other.
The Walzer is programmed and gives me a signal on my phone before a trade has to be started. Very handy. The rules for this easy system you can find in my GFIs1 high vola thread.

Hope this helps - Good trades!

Thanks for the response. I've been following your thread for quite some time so I kinda knew the answer but I wanted to verify with you. The reason why I posed the original question was because I remember you pointing out that certain days may be better than others so I ran a pivot table analysis in excel of my past trades and low and behold I noted certain days were wildly more profitable than others. So we are listening

Since I always start with the premise that everything is an 'overfit' until proven otherwise, I plan to watch this day of week filter for 2-3 months in incubation before I implement it.

As a side note, I also fully automated my trading methodology, complete with signals sent to my phone of time of trade and outcome. It's beautiful to no longer have to be tied to starring at a screen all day. Plus it completely removes emotions from trading. The next plan is to move everything to the cloud then I won't even need a computer
